Only a bit of banter brother. Don't take it to heart. You just concentrate on not getting relegated so we can have a shark v shark contest next year haha

    Merewether vs jeso
Res- 2:3 jeso strikers scored some nice goals and game went down to the final whistle, jeso did have the better of it from what I saw. Game ended with a bit of an altercation (ball being thrown into a players face and some good old soft push and shove and verbal) after the final whistle but not too much in it all.
1sts- 1:5 scoring two quality own goals in the first half didn't help. Jeso scored a nice overhead kick for their 5th goal and Merewether pegged one back late with a nice run/cross. Overall game was fairly scrappy and certainly a lot more even than the scoreline suggests, credit to jeso who took their chances as you need to do. Jeso keeper also got carded for marking his goal area after half time which I haven't seen for a very long time.

big result in ressies for charlie

So city blues didn't have a go again first half down 3-0 half time.came out second half won 1-0 with 10 men.uni outplayed Charlie over their big pitch.however Charlie without their star mid struggled to control the game.3-1 loss to Charlie.regies massive win and a huge confidence booster and a rocket to underperforming first graders.a wise man once said if you have a leader(captain)with heart the rest will follow.....Charlie have the leader I hope the rest will follow.

Jesmond away @ Jesmond Park v Merewether.

First of all - apparently bit of stupidity toward/at end of reggies that was dealt with by the officials and there was one bad tackle in firsts but overall the day was played in pretty good spirit and hopefully what used to be a bit of bitter rivalry has turned to more of a friendly one.

Reggies 3-2 to Jesmond and should have been way more. With the quality we put onto the park, we need to be doing better. Wasteful finishing, bad defending. We're just lucky our young starting striker is coming along so well because he was the difference.

1sts: Due to eager refs, we actually took the lead before 3pm from a corner. I'm saying it was scrambled home by one of our players but may have been an oggy, can't be sure. Second was from same player, well worked and finished superbly with his left. The third was great work out wide from our fullback - composure saw a deadly ball played in behind for a definite oggy, although the Merewether player didn't have much choice as our opposing fullback had made the run to the back stick for a tap-in. Fourth was our stopper finding himself in an advanced position to out muscle and out enthuse his marker and finish well. Our fifth and final goal of the day was our strikers bicycle and nothing more than he deserved in another selfless display.

Credit to Merewether who kept going and capitalised on a touch of laziness to peg one back for a day that ended 5-1. I can't agree with previous comments, the score was a reflection of the game. They did have one cleared off the line, but apart from that our keeper only had to smother one shot toward the edge of his box.

Cheers to the dads and/or ex players who get there to support their club, really adds to the atmosphere. However, and I'm not sure how much of it was heard, but giving it to your own players at half time as they are walking off isn't going to help. The players are not being paid and you're not paying to watch them so maybe more encouragement might be the go. There appear to be a few young blokes there and others who may be playing in new or unfamiliar positions, they'll come good. I'm sure it wasn't their intention to be 0-3 at half time. I actually though they continued to have quite a good go considering. If a rocket is needed leave the coach and captain to dish out the spray. Just my thought. Cheers for the day, look forward to the "reverse" fixture

im pretty sure i know exactly what your talking about......the old dude who sits in the corner with his AM Radio and folding chair and screams 'encouragement' at Mereweather. I think everyone has just learned to ignore him over the years, i know at least 5-6 years ago it was the exact same when we played them back then.

First goal was a definite oggie but was poor marking in the box that caused it. Was hard to play quality football on the field that was quite slippery in parts and knock it around well in patches but just lacked creation of good chances which you guys managed to do. Has been a bit tough after losing 8/9 first graders from last year but the blokes all give it everything and work hard for the club which is all we can ask. Hopefully some wins are not far off....

Having played at the club for 7 years I'm not sure who that would be and certainly wasn't anyone who has been there every year anyway given I know most of our few regular spectators. Didn't hear the "giving it to us" at half time and none of the other players said anything.

Decent game, good start i thought from olympic but then mussy turned it up another notch and next thing it was 3-0 nil. We got a penalty just before half-time 3-1. Mussy miss a penalty, Olympic get another goal 3-2 sets up for exciting finish. Then with 15 to go mussy goal 4-2 with olympic getting a man sent off. The mussy keeper pulled off a couple of ripper saves and had a strong game.

I think everyone has now realized that all it takes to beat Olympic is to sit back, park for half an hour or so, and wait for the infighting. Once that starts, then you can play as Olympic just implode.

I haven't looked at an updated table in weeks tbh. After the washouts are caught up I'll have a look.

myself yes I played that day at rathys. On the scoresheet also

reports from the game today was mussy waited for the infighting before attacking on the counter for their first goal. so apparently the predictable arguing did happen.

You love having a dig dont you? were you there? please tell me you didnt waste your long weekend travelling from westlakes to muswellbrook to watch us play?
mussy didnt wait for shit they were 3-0 nil up in the 1st half. no need to sit on the counter. man was sent off at 4-2 with 15 to go they were the better team not afraid to admit that.
