Who is going to get the arm band?
Kanta, Nev?
If it's Roundabout I will personally jump the fence to give Stubbins a right slapping.
These 5 new signings.
Assuming they pan out what say a complete lack of support from the fans towards them???
They are basically replacing the other 4 and Griff who got sacked and supporting them is almost as good as supporting the Tinkler regime.
Almost like non union "Scab" labour crossing the picket line at a strike in my eyes
Absolutely not. It's not their faults, not in the slightest.
Maybe you could consider them idiots for willingly signing up to a team managed by Stubbins + Tinkler, but other than that they're just doing their job, trying to make it in the footballing world.
Also, if we get behind them maybe a moment like this will happen:
OK
No - don't take it out on any replacements, they may actually want to help (although they are probably yes men).
Make Reegz captain....failing that, Kanta.
Funny that the players that have been sacked are the only ones with real experience at playing at a well managed club under a manager with ability. Get rid of them and the kids that are left will know no different from the debacle that exists and will be too scared to complain.
Don't fix the squeaky wheel Phil, throw it away and run with the low speed spare.
Mr Statsman - how many goals have been scored this season by players still at the club? And assists?
OK
The broom is suitable if the players you have are out of their depth when being used property. Stubbins has demonstrated poor tactical knowledge, puzzling (at best) selections, confounding substitutions and no ability to assess a match as it progresses and make changes to tactics or set up. I believe that the players we had, used properly, would have been far more competitive. I can't believe I an going the say this but I think GVE would have achieved more with this group. I'm certain Zane would have been better than Stubbins.
Yup totally agree. If Dundee took over and appointed a coach, then did the exact same thing and put the broom through the backroom staff and squad this would be seen as a necessary step in revitalising the team and starting a fresh. I don't have any faith in Stubbins but he is right when he said our top paid players are not providing anywhere near value for money. Getting rid of them now when the season is over will at least provide opportunities to youth team players for the rest of the season.

But it all hinges on who is holding the broom, innit.
That is the issue we all have at the moment.
It's not like we're seeing a Postecoglu-style cleanout that we have confidence will see rewards. We have three people (Tinkler, Stubbins, Bridges) wielding the broom, and those three are people that no A-League club would dare touch.
OK
Nothing wrong with the idea of a broom through the place.
Big issue is I don't see Tinkler/Stubbins here next season.
As a result all I see is damage being done maliciously to the club with the agenda of causing mayhem and suffering.
It ain't part of a rebuilding phase from people doing a rebuild
The "broom" has been through the squad at the end of every season for the last few years and we haven't found success, of the departures this season 4 of the 8 players Stubbins bought in only to dump less than 4 months later.
What makes you think he'll make a better decisions this time around?
Depends how you look at it. IMO if it had of gone the other way and Stubbins was punted, it may have been more popular but would have given very little difference on the field. The squad we have is piss poor and is either not committed nor playing at the level they should be.
Carney, Madaschi & Jaliens are just soaking up a pay cheque. Carney in particular is more interested in his next move to China than putting in any sort of effort for the team. I can understand Tinks when he says imagine what its like paying them. I would rather sign a bunch of locals who want to win and bust their gut then keep seeing these 3 put in such sub standard efforts.
Celeski is an interesting one. Has been injured a lot so its hard to tell what the story is but maybe has not been committed to his rehab. Don't know.
Griffiths you could never say doesn't put in 100%, but his performances have clearly been on the slide this season and struggles to play 70mins. You would have to think this is more about his influence on the rest of the squad.
Griffiths, Carney & Jaliens were here under GVE. I'm not convinced on Stubbins but do we honestly think a change of coach would have solved everything? Carney threw his toys out of the pram since he realised he wasn't playing in the Asian Cup. Griffiths has lost it. So has Kew. Flores is the only player I think has been hard done by.
If Tinkler doesn't go, then he has to rebuild the team. If he does go, then he's done the FFA a massive favour by giving them a bare squad that can be moulded by whoever comes in.
We've lost less than half our positive output and lost more than half our negative output. Anyone wonder whether Hoole chose Sydney to get away from other players? Just a thought.
