Poyet sacked cause owner knows how it works.

Not an owner we have with NFI that keeps a bloke who loses 7-0 and then sacks assistant coaches and players

We need the NRL to take over the Jets.
Once they ****ed Tinkler off and sacked the coach they haven't lost a game.

I hate to say bad things about stubbins,i have talked to him, he is so commited to the club and wants it much, usually,i dont blame the coach, but all i want from stubbins is to take a risk. play some attacking football,we have nothing to lose, its just a shame to see such a team low on confidnce, give the kids a go,see what they do

He is more disullisional then I thought. Late payments don't happen everywhere and I tell you if I was paid late two months in a row I'll be majorly pissed off

The journo did well to understand what he was saying, it must be hard to talk clearly with tinklers knob in his mouth.

Getting paid late won't deter players coming here....... Of for ****s sake phil, this is getting embarrassing.

well, to be fair, late pay and wooden spoons wouldn't be the BIGGEST deterrent to signing for the jets.

    re the comment...

in another context... Aarau facing relegation to the second league...

We appointed are young coach (young by means of experience and age) ex player at Aarau some time ago and is from the area..

This was his first gig of a proper professional club.

The season started of well but we are now no wins in 14 games.

Facing relegation like i said in last place, 3 points behind 9th. before the weekend there was 7 points in it up to 6th spot. So a couple of wins and you would be sitting comfortable...

Another loss to a fellow relegation candidate and 2 other teams winning..

Christ had to go and yesterday he was given the boot and a new coach brought in...

Its irrespective if a coach wants to change wants going on, has passion, has been involved with the club... If it doesnt work something has to change..

(the league in anycase in Aus will not get any better in the lower half of the table until a relegation or a penalty system is put into place)

    Oh and Stubbins out!!!!!

    end info rant.
    Amigos Aarau

Stubbins rules out Carney Return (The Herald)
COACH Phil Stubbins has put a line through the chances of exiled midfielder David Carney making a return for the Newcastle Jets.

Carney has not played since owner Nathan Tinkler moved to sack the former Socceroo and four other senior players in the fallout from a 7-0 thrashing to Adelaide on January 24.

Kew Jaliens (Melbourne City), Joel Griffiths (Wellington Phoenix), Adrian Madaschi (Western Sydney) and Billy Celeski (released) have exited the club.

Carney, who has a season to run on his contract, has continued to train despite being overlooked for selection.

A meeting between the player and coach late last week had appeared to open the way for the 31-year-old to resume playing.

However, after a Herald report on Tuesday, that door has been closed and Carney will sit out the remainder of the campaign despite a depleted squad and series of poor results.

Stubbins addressed the matter after training on Tuesday.

‘‘Was there a chat? Yes,’’ the coach said.

    ‘‘Has the stance changed? No.

    ‘‘He won’t be playing.’’

The Jets face Adelaide at home on Sunday.

Andrew Hoole, who was outstanding in the drought-breaking 2-1 win over Wanderers, is away with the Olyroos in Chinese Taipei, creating a vacancy on the left wing.

Mr 2 in 22 talks of "moving forward" but can't bury the hatchet with a player and play him!
