If they are in the outside lane they are fair game.
That goes for P-players and old people too.

This isn't the big issue. The big issue is, and remains, the glad wrap packaging. I've taken people's advice and am now using the cutter bar box. I need to get used to it I think. They still have a cutting along the edge (like I'm using that!!!)

Can anyone confirm if the packaging has returned to normal?

I have moved to "Home Brand". They haven't changed a working system, and it's half the price.

I never heard anything about any syndicates being 'smashed' because of their info.

Always bothered me that if they were intent on being anti-drugs now that they would have done everything possible to get drugs off the streets.

    Anyone know?
Another interesting point I've heard raised - would they have rehabilitated had they not been caught? Would they have continued to smuggle drugs? We can't possibly know, but to suggest that they bastions of humanity is a bit farcical for mine.

    of course not.

but isn't that the point of jail though mate? to get rehabilitated? which they appear to have done pretty well before getting shot

yeah they were stupid, yeah they got caught, now they're dead.

you can bang on about them killing drug users with the smack once they got to straya - but i don't see many people crying about users most of the time. in fact i reckon most of the blokes who are applauding the death sentence would probably want these junkies killed as well judging by the summary justice ideals that people seem to love on the internet.

...except themselves, when they're out necking pingers and doing gas and the like because they're not part of the problem because they aren't degenerate junkies.

    But

Your friend who took the drugs (who knew the risks) didn't deserve to die.

    This does not make sense.
Never said my friend didn't deserve to die.

He took the drugs and had to deal with the consequences whatever they may have been. If he ended up in a coffin then the consequences would have had to be accepted.

He is just fortunate that he had medical help close by and was given every chance to survive plus he had me praying to Griff on his side etc

He just had his luck in that night. Could have easily went the other way with the 3 times resuscitation etc.

    Not condoning him of anything.

It was a stupid thing to be doing and he has paid a pretty heavy price (will most likely have issues with kidney heart etc later on in life) and seems to have learnt a big lesson from the incident fingers crossed and has slowed his life down a bit and thinks more of the consequences of his actions.

So if Gaol is all that is needed to punish people and rehabilitate people then why ain't you calling for the immediate release of Martin Bryant?? I am sure he has changed

What about Ivan Milat?? Sure he deserves another go??

What about the Skaf Gang??? I am sure they are just hard done by kids in need of the RBB??

Surely these people deserve just as much sympathy as people wish to give people getting caught committing a crime punishable by death in Sth East Asia

apples and oranges mate - bryant is a mentally deranged mass murderer, milat the same and skaf is a sociopathic leader of gang rapists. all are in jail and have the option of rehabilitation open to them but that doesn't ensure that they will take it, or ensure that they will ever be released from prison (which i believe they shouldn't be). rehab is not equal to release.

by what i've read these blokes don't want to get rehabilitated, and will probably never get paroled (skaf the exception as he was not sentenced to life). and rightly so.

chan and sukumaran, while criminals, are hardly any of the former. while life imprisonment would have been a harsh and probably just sentence, it is a reasonable one and not without precedence in indonesia (but i guess it's the same thing for the death penalty, not without precedent etc). however it also would not be out of the question for the crimes they committed.

i'm not saying they deserve sympathy, but they seemed to genuinely be contrite and doing something useful while imprisoned, which is more than can be said for a lot of other prisoners.

but the two blokes are now dead and there's not much we can do about it really.
