the two things that well pissed me off last season on gameday was that bridgey sign getting around, plus the cheer of the mongs when bridges came on as a sub. what has bridges done for us that sash didn't as a sub, and where was sash's roaring applause back in the day?

The main thing I can think of, is that Bridges wasnt a gypo scumbag before coming to us..
Don't get me wrong, I loved Sasho The Mercenary when he was with us, but not everyone forgot his time with Sydney/Coasties..

Playing for the Smirfs is a blight on his character for sure. But to suggest being a supporter of Spurs in a derogative fashion I find to be a grossly immature statement to make and reflects poorly on ones person.

Bridgey and R Griff are pals - sacrifices need to be made to bring big Griff home.

i think it was a reflection on how, being a yid fan, he is happy to settle for mediocrity. i believe we are too ambitious for someone of his nature.

does the symbol work on new foz? if not, sarcasm doesnae exist.

Riddle me this batman, why is that every time there is a rumour of Joel coming some supporters immediately go into Bridgey bashing mode?

I only ask because even if the club didn't resign Bridges, Joel would still be in China and we would be still dealing with rumours.

What has one thing got to do with the other?

    True supporter?

Bridges and The Griff both top newy blokes. Bridges choice of premier league team and former Sydney days are a blemish but didnt Joel start down in that area as well? Would be ecstatic to have them both on the books.

Still think some hate Bridges as they hold him responsible for Ljubo leaving.......

Top bloke, loves Newy and will do anything he can for the Jets.

I thought bridge showed enough last season to justify a spot, just needs to get fit enough to be considered as a starting spot.

Bridges feeding the brothers Griff, now that would be sweet.

    Corporate push for Flores' return

    by:Val Migliaccio From:
    The Advertiser July 03, 2012

A GROUP of SA businessmen is willing to help fund Marcos Flores' contract if he rejoins Adelaide United.

Flores has instigated a groundswell of support after he became available when his former Chinese club Henan Jianye cut him loose a fortnight ago.
Adelaide officials declared Flores' wage demand was too high coupled with no room in the salary cap, but corporate SA and Reds fans want all avenues exhausted to bring him back.
Two company directors - Guy D'Arrigo from D'Arrigo Consult and Madee River from Designer Muzik - have expressed desires to assist Adelaide with cash to secure the 2011 Johnny Warren Medallist.

D'Arrigo met interested parties to discuss the idea of signing Flores as part of a corporate entity.

"I want to help Adelaide United bring Marcos Flores back," he said yesterday.
"The concept would be to complement Adelaide United's budget and in tough times we all need a little help."

It's understood an estimated $350,000 is needed per season to secure Flores, with Melbourne Victory and Heart reportedly well advanced in talks to sign Australia's model blueprint for foreign players.
River contacted The Advertiser expressing his interest in helping to bring the Argentinian to Adelaide.
"I'd be embarrassed if we didn't get him back," River said.
"At least we should give it a great shot."

The idea was also met with enthusiasm from Football Federation Australia.
"The idea of private backers funding a marquee player's salary has in-principle support of FFA. It's an avenue that we think clubs should explore," said Kyle Patterson FFA head of corporate affairs and communications.

Since Flores departed for China last year Adelaide's average crowds dipped to levels previously unseen in the history of the club.

Adelaide averaged 8797 fans to its A-League matches last season compared with 11,552 turning up to matches in 2010-11.
    Without Flores Adelaide officials w
ere made to balance last season's books with 50,126 less fans at Hindmarsh.

But to re-sign Flores Adelaide would have to reshuffle its salary cap with marquee spots - an option for the playmaker - taken by Serginho van Dijk and Dario Vidosic.
Van Dijk, who was on holidays after revealing he wanted a move away from the club, perhaps summed up his return to Adelaide for the start of pre season training on Monday via twitter.
"Only 2 days before heading back to ADL (Adelaide) #whydoallgoodthingscometoanend," he tweeted next to a display of an unhappy face. Twitter: @val61

    $350k sign him up Tinks!

Surely no reason we can't sign him up under the cap.

This would make a good test just to see how serious the Jets are. The guy is proven quality here in HAL and i see no real question marks over fitness or being injury prone.

    All IMO of course.
