I agree that promotion and relegation is needed but it needs to take into consideration player development initiatives and the only way to ensure Clubs do this is via some form of club championship.
I'll jump to FR's defence.
At least Southy have a plan in place and are attempting to develop players. Sure the results aren't coming but you can't fault their effort.
It's some of the bigger clubs that just open their cheque book each year to buy first grade points and put nothing into player development that annoy me.
Jaffas being the prime example. I know of a number of youth NPL players there that have had a gutful and can't wait to get out of the place.

Visa issue apparently- not sure exactly.
Apparently he never received his international clearance from when he was last playing in Ireland or wherever. But because northern ticked off and said everything was right with his registration,Adamstown will lose none of their points because it was northerns stuff up. I bet a few of the clubs near the bottom of the table will be blowing up big time. After all it is up to individual clubs to chase up player clearances is it not
The club is meant to liaise with the registering federation to chase the national football federation in the previous country to gain the ITC. It is surprising how these kind of mistakes can happen though to be fair.
Not good enough by Northern or Adamstown imo. Every club who has played them in first 7 rounds should be awarded a 3-0 win. Is there any precedents of anything like this happening before of a club playing an uncleared player and if so , what action was taken?
A club knows if a player is eligible to play or not . otherwise they don't put them on the field . this is classic northen bungling . clubs should by pass northern and go straight to football nsw or ffa . maybe get some money together and go to fifa . but really buds pleading ignorance no excuse .
Can recall around 2003 Edgeworth played Weston and were beat 7-1 or similar but Weston had an unregistered player so Edgey were awarded 3 points in lieu of Weston.
