The starting point of whatever may ensue is created by the spineless bucket mouths that think they are protected by the fact they are part of the crowd. A bit of fistic mayhem only advances this situation to a conclusion, hence the spectacle of Danny B's downtown decorum.

It's $10 bucks to get in, you should be able to banter all you want

Banter is light hearted chiaking, $10 fee. Abusive ragging cost a set of teeth.

If you open your mouth you should be prepared for the consequences, simple fact of life. No one has the right to insult someone else adn if you, i or anyone else want to say stupid things we should be prepared to deal with the consequences. If you're not a fan of fighting angry idiots than don't talk s^&t to them...

And paying money doesn't give you any right to banter, that's a pathetic thing to say.

Anyone who knows me knows i'm all for a bit of banter on and off the field but that's because i'm a dickhead, and proud of it, but you only give out what you can take back and if you overstep the mark you need to man up and apologize. Everyone has different boundaries.

Surely he can handle a bit of banter as mentioned above? Wasn't his best days in between the sticks apparently

A 30+ year old man should be able to fight his own battles.

Banter from spectators is a fact of life, try playing away at Beresfield when every man and his dog is sledging you. You just have to develop a thick skin and not respond to it, if you do it only gives the spectators more ammo.

Hey FR. What will South Cardiff charge in New FM next year? And does that mean the more you pay the more you can banter? What about junior football or NPL Youth or any of the zone leagues where you don't pay to get in, what gives you the right to banter there? Problem is banter is just not the "you're too fat, to old, to bald", it's increasing personal, foul language usually in presence of children and elderly, and generally limitless when dished out by a pack of drunken fools. And yes it's really abuse and not banter as it's fair to say most of the idiots dishing it out don't have a brain to think about what they are saying.

Uhm. I'm just gonna pop a few things down that were said.
From what I heard, there were no remarks made about family.
Was stuff along the lines of "how much are they paying you to let goals in?" "Make sure you catch the next one",
"Couldn't catch a cold", "wow, you're getting a bit too old for this".
It was more the unrelenting nature of really poor banter than anything specifically personal.

Heard bowling getting sledged at the state cup final vs Southy last year, he had a laugh, faked a limp when they told him to retire, made a good save and asked the guy if he saw the save. Handled much better.
Keepers seem particularly easy to bait. The edgy keeper that got sent for flipping the bird in a penalty shootout, carter jumping a fence.

I agree. Some things are definitely going too far. But il talking about clever little comments that's they react to and escalate things.

Walking down hunter street on a Friday and a group of guys say "look at this guy" as you walk past. What're you gonna do? Ignore them and keep walking or you gonna say something?

I was at Jaffas game last week and in 22s a Jaffas player yelled, rather loudly at a southy player calling him a "f***ing sh*t c**t".
    Is this ok?

I remember a few years back south cardiff had a group of followers "south hill boys" if I'm not mistaken. In all honestly i thought it was great for the game and atmosphere. They may have step over the line on a few occasions and all in all they behaved. I personally think the league needs more character

bottom line, if you give, you must take, if not keep your trap shut.
there are lines thou, no foul language etc.

players thou need to need to be more resilient to this, needing to know they just cant bite....or the vultures will strike on their weakness....parents need to be more resilient also, cant hold there hand forever.... but then again they don't breed them like they used to.

Nothing better than listening or being involved in a good old slanging match with the opposition.

Most of these people are either jealous or in secure just like the schoolyard bully. Eventually when you ignore him he gets bored and goes elsewhere. But most are really dumb just like the schoolyard bully and they go back to digging holes for themselves.

Wow...some of you blokes musn't have played an away fixture when an 'old boys day was on. Remember copping it big time on many of occasions. You can choose to laugh it off, ignore it or jump the fence and smash someone. I personally would get no satisfaction belting a bloke who's had 20 cans. Each to his own I suppose.
I hope he likes prison food.......and penis

Funny thing is I reckon the Southside guys, or whatever they were called at whatever time, would not only have been fine with other clubs having their own little groups formed but almost definitely would have WANTED it to happen.
    OK

Well said seldom, totally agree. The foul mouthed abusive idiots should be delt with by the duty officer, as for the friendly banter that brings a laugh, nothing better.

    Absolutely spot on.

How one can derive satisfaction from caving someones head in whom you think is a half wit already defies logic.

Anyone who does is no better than the half wit anyway

In adults there is 4 comps for league about 30 for soccer.

Union has even more laughable amount of people playing it. Yet union first graders get more money then soccer too!

Which would be harder to make it to for an athlete ? Soccer of course with many more players fighting for spots in the top league.

Shame big leagues clubs like Wests don't support the game. For our participation rates in this country not enough people make a living from this game!
Junior numbers should have nothing to do with Seniors payment.
Junior Registration money shouldn't be going to the pockets of former hacks or a never was.
