Plenty of talented youth coming through, and have joined the club, no need to sign 11 superstars, but you never know may be one or two experienced players will be added up on the hill.

Your logic is sound & I know Valentine offered him heaps more than Olympic or Azzuri but I don't know if he has agreed to play for them. You must know something that I can't confirm either way.

It seems to me that even at this point in time that Azzuri would be my favorites to be relegated. They will rely on guys like Smith who is only half the player without Goody,Tull who is well past his best,Sullini,Ross,Hughes and a couple of others who aren't getting any younger. The young guys they promote will make enough mistakes each game through inexperience to cost them points which I think will seal their fate.I hope I'm wrong but they need to get proactive in recruitment or Prycey is in for a hard year.

Are you sure he didn't sign and commit to an inner city club if he was playing in the npl tonester. That was the mail i had heard and you have posted yourself in a previous thread. Has this changed

It is prycey's job as head coach to be recruiting and retaining players for the club. No disrespect to his coaching ability but in the space of 10 months he has lost Goodchild,Bird and Witherdin. Arguably 2 of their best players and who has he been able to recruit

Apparently they could have signed others but the lies during initial talks came back to bite them on the arse

So three players have left, wow, wheres it say birdy wont be at azzuri, 100+ games for the club now, Surely that would mean something, would mean alot to me, and apparently have a young striker from Manly to partner smithy, never know, he might be a goody, ross will be able to play in his true position this year, laman was their best, as far as i know hes still there, sulini, hughes, ferguson, tully, young minors will go ahead, GK will be better for last year, and i think 22s coach bringing some of his boys to strengthen 22s and add some depth to put pressure on the first graders.
Kept the majority of the 19s to play in U19 comp again, except for two who were promoted to the senior squad at 17, so they should be pretty strong in the 19s.
First grade probably need a Number 10 and a Danny Burt type CB ( Without the reds ), which i hear a couple on the radar, so they will be fine.

Who ? one player whos had more clubs then Jack Nicklaus that DID sign and then went signed somewhere else.

I remember a club who play in light blue relegated to Newfm in about 08/09, all first graders stuck together, played Newfm, got repromoted after a couple of years, shame last years team who got relegated didnt have the same sort of player culture at that club.

Your changing the subject, one player or 10, it doesn't matter, lies are lies, it's the clubs culture

Was that the season that Goody and Wallace left to Southy + Smith and Tull were at Phoenix?

I admire your optimism and I hope you're right but I have serious doubts over the quality of their squad. Birdy could be back although I don't think anyone has even approached him in regard to next year because it was a given that he was leaving. We'll wait and see what transpires.

Add to Phoenix both swans,Kyle hodges and will Pryce. So that's practically 90% of the starting 11

If a certain someone has a quick recovery, gets in a half decent preseason and gets decent service he'll score goals.
