I wonder where his head is at and whether he is a realistic recruitment option for next season? He's struggling to regain a place in the first team following a few injuries. I'd be looking at a loan deal and the very least.
No - he would take Chinese coin first.

all decent talent will leave eventually - we're a selling league, or at least should be if we can produce the goods

rather a bloke with ambition than a mong who is happy being comfy at home and doesn't want to go higher

    this.

we will never get better if our squad ishappy with bloke who are happy to cruise at HAL level and spend there spare time fishing surfing and sunbaking.

we need a squad of bloke with Europe in their dreams, and older guys coming back with experience at a higherlevel.

I know of one youth squad who's first screening question was "where do you want to play your football?"
ant kids who answered "the a-league" was struck off the list.
the correct answer was EPL, Serie A, Bundesliga etc etc

they've had a fair few kids step from youth to A-league with ease.

OUTS: Lee Ki-Jee (Ulsan Hyundai), David Carney (Sydney FC)
So it looks like a done deal? Fox reporting on it.. But no new "INs"....

Edit: Looks like we get Hoole, on extra coin... For Carney... Disappointed we gave in so easily. Should be Hoole and Naumoff

I guess the advantage is more cap space next season plus *possible transfer fee if we can sell him in a year. I think he'll have a lot to prove and if he's keen to get out of Newcastle again, he'll be working hard to do so which only helps us. Still disappointed we didn't (if we don't) get a 2nd player.

    Who gives a ****

If Hooley is coming back I just can't wait for the lulz from Hawk's epic impending meltdown

Could well be a great day.

Rid of Carney we get a local back and Hawk goes mental

Have we signed Kristian Sarkies yet ?

  12. #2552
We gave away Carney, coz he didnt want to be here. With the illusion we'd get Hoole.

Typical Jets, give away players and get nothing in return. Welcome to the wooden spoon, again.

Sounding more and more like going from requiring 2 players to even talk to getting none. Sounding like a fine result, the more things change at the Jets the more they stay the same.

Gardiner 100% confirmed that's what Hoole's agent said, which is exactly what you would expect if you want to drive up the price.

Let's see how this pans out. Gatt is saying the opposite and Arnie is his source

Anyone spotted Leigh Broxham on Darby St today or maybe Manny Muscat at Westfield Kotara or maybe Shane Stefanutto at Harry's Schnitzel

Any other signings we looking at??

Stambolziev hasn't played much this year? Is that from injury or can't crack the first team? Australian born winger. If Naumoff wants to sit in their bench we might be able to get a player with European experience?

Probably wishful thinking that we get anything from them, we will probably get a few ball boys and think we did a good job..

I love how people are jumping to conclusions on any sniff of rumour. At this stage with nobody coming this way, I do believe Carney went to Sydney this morning expecting the deal to be over the line.

    Am thinking this scenario...
