Lowey's synopsis in the Herald today is bang on what went wrong. Game was lost once the Glory started to dominate the midfield on about 20-30mins. Oxborrow/Castro/Marinkovic were playing a short passing game with lots of triangles and we were so slow to react. Embarrassing in a different league slow. Poljak and Watson are just not in the same class as other midfields.
Once the midfield battle was won the Glory started to play diagonal balls into Harold whose pace was killing Boogs and Mullen. Boogs got left behind on a few occasions before he started sliding in to try and cut out the ball early.
Full credit to Kenny Lowe for a game plan that schooled Miller. I haven't posted a negative comment about Miller before but the 3 at the back was possibly the most naive coaching decision I have ever seen. And why it took so long to change it when the glory were quite literally lining up on the edges to get the ball is baffling.
