Castalen is the beneficiary of a system that lets him roam free.
If you think he's getting the same time and space playing with this bunch of retards then you've got rocks in your head.

And are we still on this 'let's spend all our money on the wide spots and play a bunch of mongs in the middle' trip?

I swear some of you blokes don't even watch this stupid team.

That is just truth bombs everywhere.

The bloke is going to not come cheap. We be paying overs and I thinking Wankers have only released him based on him wanting more coin than they prepared to pay.

Why we want to be the schmucks who overpay??

As for your point about centre of the park. Bang on.

Stevie U shows some promise yet needs time to be the end product but we are doing **** all whilst he is paired with Kanta or Poljak.
We need to be spending serious coin in this part of the pitch bringing in a superior player.than what we already have and when I say superior I not talking just better than Poljak and Kanta. I talking the effect Milligan Corona Isais etc have had on their sides

Ah I missed that. I was referring to his comments earlier in the year.

We had Milligan and won **** all.

Corona went missing in the finals.

I agree that a strong spine is important for any team, but you need to have blokes that will create chances and score goals too. It shouldn't be news to you that most teams spend most of their money in the front third.

Yeah Milligan was here, what 7 years ago when he was early 20's and basically using his time at the club in 08/09 as a "departure lounge", hardly a comparison to his couple of seasons at Victory when they were at the top.

Overall, Corona this season has been more influential than Broich for Roar, whether he was effective or not in two Finals games is irrelevant as he along with MacLaren were the main reasons the Roar finished in the top four this season.

We need someone with a bit of authority in the middle of the park, someone who we haven't had since Kasey Wehrman, someone who dictates and controls the tempo of the game, Zads was great too in harrassing the opposition when they had the ball but he was very average with the ball.
Both Poljak and Kanta are mid-20's and are clearly not that type of player and as Member mentions, Stevie U has shown some promise but is still not the end product.
That's probably why many are saying we are about 4 quality players away from being a decent to good side.

Jimmy Holland is the answer for the middle of the park.

Pablo Sanchez is no longer at Adelaide

I'd say he's looking to get out of Australia but if not, I'd definitely take him on

My guess is he's after a starting spot or more $. Djite said on TV after the GF that he wanted the club to re-sign Sanchez - if Sanchez wanted to go back home or whatever, I don't think Brucey would have said something like that.

    Precisely.

If a bloke is homesick you just drop that in the presser when he leaves.

Good enough excuse the club don't get grief for not signing him again and player leaves with respect from all as no one bats an eyelid at the bloke who has had issues settling in a place on the other side of the planet etc

With Birraz looking likely to head overseas, could do a lot worse than offering local premier keeper Danny Ireland a trial. Three GF's in 3 years with 2 clubs. Last night's game report saying he made 2 crucial saves near the end to seal the 3 points for Olympic over Edgy
Not sure how he would go at a step up in level but deserves at least a look at to be understudy for BK.

The goalkeeping side if it yes I agree.
He is more than capable of playing HAL I think and he wouldn't be dear.

I reckon he would probably be a better keeper than BK anyway

His kicking of the ball is pretty below average.
Bizarre in this day and age with the backpass rule being in play for 20 years now seeing a keeper so poor with his feet

He reminds me of blokes like Bozza who grew up with the old backpass rule and then got caught out with poor kicking skills when the no pick up on backpass rule come in.

There were plenty of them who had made it to professional level who were ****ing hopeless at kicking the ball

You don't see it these days.

Not a bad call, he was at Coventry City for 4 years they could do a lot worse

    http://www.a-league.com.au/article/p...s2zkh1dk3i8qdx

Gyorgy Sandor, Krisztian Vadocz, Diogo Ferreira and Hagi Gligor all got released from Perth

Would anyone sign any of the 4? Out of the lot I'd easily replace Poljak with either Sandor or Vadocz but preferably Vadocz. No interest in the other two

Article said Sandor and Vadocz were heading home, not much chance of signing either, I'd guess. Other 2 are squad fillers, at best.

I watched Bangkok Glass v Bangkok United yesterday, whilst on holiday, and there were 2 very classy Macedonians on show. Darko Tasevski and Mario Gjurovski, both AM's. Not sure what sort of coin they'd be on, but neither would look out of place in the HAL.

I rate Vadosc pretty highly in this league and would love to have signed him. It doesn't say he is definitely leaving Aus, however we already have 32 defensive midfielders and i don't see us signing him.
