Also, can we go back to 4 at the back? Unless the plan is qualify playing this absurd and clearly not great formation, and then changing it pre-world cup (should we qualify) to catch teams off guard? Or get 3 at the back and play some good wing backs that will be able to track back and defend but push forward.

And no more Luongo starting please. Irvine has done much better in recent games.

So can you actually explain why it is an absurd formation??

Because what I seen is there is nothing wrong with the formation.

It just the lack of attention to detail and application from the players that cost us goals

1st goal someone had covered old mate who provided the assist
Someone had covered the striker who was central on goal
Someone had covered the back post runner

Yet we had two defenders back there neither of them marked the bloke for the pull back

So exactly how is this the formations fault when you have 2 blokes ball watching??

2nd and 3rd goals were down to people not tracking runners adequately

That has nothing to do with formation

That has everything​ to do with the players not being focused or good enough for this level
