Correct... Playing an under age player... 15 year old defender.. Minimum age for U18's is 16... Magic lost the games that the 15 year old defender played anyways...

All these age restrictions getting lower and lower with the aim of players developing for first grade at a younger age, but playing a 15 year old in 18s is not on...if you are good enough, you're old enough.
Jets have also been playing 15 year olds in 18s and 20s. No mention of exemption for them in rules. Could get interesting!!
On the bright side... The Kid can still play first grade
Actually the rule is very specific and doesn't allow for exemptions nor 15 year olds to play in 1st grade.
6.2. Minimum age to play in 2017 Senior Grades is 16 years.
See now this is where the Jets being included in the NPL is silly.
So are Northern going to deduct points from the Jets as well?
They play 15 year olds in the 18s on a regular basis given that the EJs players in the 18s can be no older than 16.
Can they have their cake and eat it too???
NNSWF, who run the Emerging Jets will decide if they have point's deducted. Guess we already know the answer.

NPL : team plays a young kid in 18's- deemed cheating, breaking the rules
EJets: team plays 14/15 year olds in 18's, 20's and 1st grade- deemed development, fantastic opportunity
i say remove the problems (EJ), and the rules become the same for all

Considering that the FFA have put HAL Yoof teams into all the local NPL as a policy I don't even know why we having this let's get rid of the Jets discussion

What though is a farce is this rule where Magic are getting punished
No issues that technically the rule is there Magic breached it punishment comes in
Issue is the rule needs removing particularly when the EJ program playing kids up age categories policy isn't being allowed at other clubs
If an NPL club can find a 15 year old good enough for first grade then he should be allowed to play
Anything else is bullshit
