With the season proper kicking off today, I'd like to wish all players and clubs the best of luck for the season. Here's hoping we can keep the injuries low, the standard high and the post match beers aplenty. Have a good year fellas.

Suburb clearly not struggling to find the net without their wizard up front.
Anybody have some match reviews?
Goals shared between
1 Wallsend
1 Striker
Other 4 came from other players.
Suburb controlled the game, Wallsend looked off the pace and not handling the heat. It was horrible out there. Even with drinks breaks.
Took a while for the first, but after that Wallsend probably only had 2-3 chances to score. Hitting the post once.

They were terribly impressive in first grade. I had a pretty good view and Azzurri should probably have won it, which is a massive call with 10 men for 80mins against the 4 time GF winners.
Azzurri put a header wide that should have went in and failed to convert from the spot. A host of other half chances through their veteran striker who was seriously classy. This was all without Steve Rospigliosi who will most likely take out the golden boot for the competition.
If they play every week like they did on Saturday, they'll cruise in to the top 4 and I'd be inclined to slap a $50 on them for the premiership.
