Russell must be one of these new recruits from Sydney that have mysteriously appeared over the past few months because our local boys aren't considered good enough in the eyes of Zane/Pascoe!

Hung on for a 1 nil win.Ribs with the goal. Jesic was Jesic. And looks like we're trying to make a RB out of Pepper again.
Kale on the left wing replaced early in 2nd half while Jesic allowed to dish up garbage for 90 +. Member please explain ?

i thought mason campbell was class above today, nick cowburn played well and andrew hoole is essentially like a workhorse version of chilli
that being said riberio walked the whole game
we were lucky to get the victory tho, with one of melbournes wingers being offside about a gazillion times and then them missing an open goal

although i did not watch said game, my theory on kale may be proven true. apart from being a right-place-right-time, and good finisher kind of player, he's useless. doesn't run, doesn't add much to general build-up play, etc. apart from playing directly up front, if he's put anywhere else he goes missing & doesn't contribute at all. this is why he'll never make it in the hal - they'll put him in one of the wide positions, rather than striker, and he'll struggle too much. sounds like that is what happened yesterday, with him being dragged from wide left.

or am i talking bs as usual?
    OK

What I've seen of Kale is that he is always dangerous in and around the box and keeps the opposition on their toes because of his sheer acceleration over 5-10 metres. You can't coach that, you either have it or you don't. Put it this way, if Heskey is out injured now with this quad strain, Taggart will probably come in, I would love to see Kale come onto the bench and at least get a run for 10-15min at the end of the game when it usually opens up.
Redmexican commenting about Campbell, Cowburn and Hoole, not surprised at all as these 3 were arguably our most consistent youth players during the NBN state league season. Hoole has been training with the seniors and Cowburn is still only 17 but I hope Campbell is added to the senior squad for next season....quality young defender and leader to go with it.

Peppz will never make a right back from what I seen yesterday!!!

Even though Kale had had one of his quieter games it was quiet pertinent to note we were deadset AIDS as soon as he went off. Hooley also dropped back to RB from attacking wide right role and poor Marko was left up front with 2 other nobodies and we couldn't keep the ****ing ball. Victree looked like scoring in the last 30 mins quite regularly but kept farking it up for themselves. Matter of fact it is a classic example of why Jesic WILL be sentenced to 3 years hard time at Sydney FC

Got to agree with the comments on Ribero some nice touches here and there but he spent most of the game walking and if he did start moving faster it can only be classed as a trot. Can't see GVE being too impressed with that.

PV4 as fro your comments on Kale- I will just pad up and let them go through to the keeper
Though you do make a good point about the kid getting a chance in the wide positions and not being a success being a fear. Problem is he is a striker so he should be played as a striker its alright letting him go and learn a different role from time to time but he is a striker first and foremost

Was pretty impressed with 3 yesterday Remo is gonna make a great left back. Cowburn is coming along well and also our New Captain Mitchy Cooper must be getting close to forcing the Eggs hand and giving him a run

i think he's too small to be given a striker position in the hal whilst not being an absolute pocket-rocket ala archie thompson/yau. hence why i think if he gets a hal gig, it'll be in one of those wide positions & i can't see him working out.
    OK

Pocket Rocket?? What you talking about??

Kale has great acceleration and speed. Nothing to worry about on that front

as you know im a big fan of kale, but honestly he will be used chilli esk and if the time and effort doesnt go into helping him into he wont succeed at HAL level, if anything he may be able to be moulded into a fake #10 or #9 but yeah, more then likely a wide position, which at this stage i dont think he will do well in, did work well with ribs yesterday tho

the comments on riberio walking the game is so true, but on the ball he is good and he vision is sensational

Pretty accurate really...for him to have a chance of making it in HAL centrally he'd have to be playing next to a Heskey type 2nd striker who shows for the ball, holds it up,drops it off and he making the 2nd run etc. Looked well out of place on the left wing...time will tell I suppose. One thing I will say about yesterdays game is the yoof are gunna be very hard to beat in the state league this year
I hope he likes prison food.......and penis
