I have a mate and his GF from here Switzerland, that are in Newy at the moment.

I know late notice, anyone know of anything decent open tomorrow for lunch etc? or any type of event on?

Also anything thats going on Boxing Day?

Boxing Day pretty much everything is open
Shopping Malls
Newy Races
Beach etc
Restaurants be on an up to owner decision


As for getting a feed on Xmas Day slim pickings as nearly everything is closed
I probably try one of the Wests clubs as I sure they be open for the Gambling addicts

Xmas day barely anything is open. Could try some of the smaller joints close to Newy Beach maybe? Otherwise try some of the Chinese joints around as not all of them close for Xmas.

All Wests are open today for prebooked Christmas dinners as well as the usual bistro fare.

Anything else open will be booked in advance.

Boxing Day - fridge of beers and leftovers and the test match - why would you go anywhere else? Real Aussie kultcha.

havent heard that one before...

But we have a cricket comp here in Switzerland, mostly Ex Pats English and Sub Continent. But the junior program is getting better and better.

As for Horse Racing, it is quite popular, just not everyday races. In my town we have a nice race track, they have about 3 horse racing events each summer.
