Cooks Hill coach David Tanchevski hopes to sign between eight and 10 Northern NSW NPL players to bolster his squad for their rise to the top division next season. Tanchevski said he had secured five NPL recruits and he hoped to add to that in the coming weeks.
He believed the wealth of NPL experience Cooks Hill already had, together with the additions, would give them a strong squad in 2022.
''It's a bit of a balance between trying to reward the guys who have been there at the club and helped us get up, and bringing in some quality players of NPL ability," Tanchevski said.
"Realistically, in our starting 11 we probably have five that will probably stay in the starting 11 next year.
"We probably need to bring in 10 guys to the squad, depending what the points system allows. But we'll look to probably sign eight to 10 players.
