Still reckon its stupid that our regional game is in Campbelltown FFS and not Tamworth, Coffs etc.

The Hunter Ports Newcastle Jets have named an extended 19-man squad for Saturday’s Round 20 clash with Western Sydney Wanderers at Campbelltown Stadium.

Defender Sam Gallaway has been included in the squad after serving a one-match suspension in the Jets' 2-2 draw with Sydney FC at Hunter Stadium last weekend.

Midfielder James Brown was unavailable for selection due to family reasons, while Dominik Ritter will make his return to action with the Jets youth team on Sunday.

    More details to follow…

    Newcastle Jets squad:
    1. Ben Kennedy (gk), 2. Scott Neville, 3. Zenon Caravella, 4. Josh Mitchell, 8. Ruben Zadkovich, 9. Emile Heskey, 11. Connor Chapman, 12. Josh Brillante, 13. Sam Gallaway, 14. Taylor Regan, 15. Craig Goodwin, 17. James Virgili, 18. Jacob Pepper, 19. Michael Bridges, 20. Mark Birighitti (gk), 22. Adam Taggart, 23. Ryan Griffiths, 25. Mitch Cooper, 26. Andrew Hoole.

Ins: Sam Gallaway, (returns from suspension), Taylor Regan, Jacob Pepper, Adam Taggart, Mitch Cooper (all elevated).
    Outs: James Brown (family reasons).
    Unavailable: Ben Kantarovski (knee).

All pre-purchased tickets to Saturday's game include travel from Newcastle to the venue on CityRail trains as well as free transport on regular Sydney Buses (STA) services, Liverpool to Parramatta T-way buses and Sydney Ferries services.

The Jets Members pre sale has now ended, but tickets can still be purchased by CLICKING HERE.
Ritter back from injury but into yoof first. Brown out due to family reasons.

So if Brown is out due to family reasons, you think this could mean Caravella Koala is going to get a start??

They call him Caravella... (to the tune of the Caramello Koala song - I like it!)
But seriously, this guy should get more time given that Brown is unavailable and Ribeiro is in Kaz land. Although GVE will probably throw Pepper in out of the blue.
    A win would be nice!

Jets 4-2. Reminiscent of Adelaide away Season 1 - somehow travelled down there and won well when it really wasn't expected.

The way we play away from home on a regular basis is the best I've seen this season - the stats probably don't back it up, but we actually go to other grounds and attempt to play and actually threaten to score. I'm really not used to it.

That was my point, but the A-League says its a regional game.

Why? I'm glad he's not playing due to football reasons, and excited that he's not, nothing personal. He hasn't impressed me, but GvE seems deadset on playing. That being said, I hope all is well with his family and that it is sorted as soon as possible so he can concentrate on improving his football. That is all, nothing malicious about it. Could I have rephrased it better with hindsight? Yes, and if you take offence with it I will remove it.

I still think brown has enough talent to come good. Decisions have been poor and confidence shot to pieces. seems like something is holding him back. If he gets it right he'll add a bit to the attack. wait'n'see i guess.

As for the result maybe we need WS to get 3 pts.

Done. And Hawk, I hope you're right, but with Carvella this weekend, hopefully in the AM role, I think he will add more than Brown has.

Tbh I reckon he needs a couple of weeks in NYL so he can carve up and comeback with more confidence and willingness to take players on.

Rojas first season at Victree he was playing like he had just fund the game. Look at him go now.
If Brown turns it around half as well as Rojas he will be going great

I am sure Brown will turn it around
