I have to wonder - who checks for kit clashes, and how is the roar keeper allowed to wear a grey strip with us in predominantly white?

Interesting tactics last night. Stink the joint up more than 6-week old roadkill and then take advantage of the fact that the roar wouldn't come near us in the second half.

I just don't know what to make of this team.

Anyway, I'm glad I was proven wrong about the spoon. Perth and Western play each in the second last round, so I think we're safe.

    Strips are pre allocated

In the old days strips were only changed for colour clashes.

These days it's all about marketing, not common sense.

I am at the point where the Jets go up 1-0, and my first thought is "oh no..."

Agree, lots bag them when they loose so let's give them credit when they win.

I think if they get there ownership sorted they at least will have a nucleus of a squad that could push on a bit next year.

Stama is under contract for next year, he also apparently is happy to stay. He also has mentioned about heading back to Europe at one stage. Why not offer him a further year with an upgrade, so especially 2 more years. Make him the captain as he is basically the leader now.

I think Piscopo has to be retained. He is quality, although he has had his injury concerns the facts are since he has been back the jets have looked alot more dangerous in attack.

I think if we can add a dominant central midfielder plus another central defender we can be a team that will offer more then just a threat on the break.

    Some good news.

With the result at WUN tonight, and with WUN playing Perth this weekend, we cannot finish last.

    It is, isn't it.

I was having a chat with a few mates about the impending departure and it was suggested to me we needed to keep him for his attacking output. I argued we are paying, and playing him, as a defender and he's been wanting at times this season in that area. He's probably better suited for a team that have the ball more than they don't...and that isn't us.

    I'm really happy with Wilmering.

That is good news. 8th is the best we can hope to achieve, given 7th have 3 more wins than us and will therefore finish ahead.

I think Mauragis does well as a winger (but not well enough to actually be a first choice outright winger) and is sub standard defensively. Maybe a wingback position would see the best of him. I don't think his possession game is particularly strong either.

I have also liked what I've seen from Wilmering this season.
