Ok debate over Hexham is the worst ground in the comp. Is it the only ground washed out in town

You are kidding right? There are actually grounds in the comp called out today? Embarrassing for the clubs associated with these venues.

I would be thinking it should be more embarrassing for Newcastle Council, they own the grounds, they manage the grounds, they are ultimately responsible as to whether grounds end up with drainage or not.

Are you suggesting the clubs are at fault for water logged grounds? You are a ding bat.

The reason Islington was out this weekend was because NCC in there wisdom decided to cut the grass on Friday morning this left massive tyre maks thru the waterlogged cricket pitch and both goal mouths. Zone league players were there most of the morning to repair the damage for mid week games, which will most likely be moved due to the damage.

Wow - they sook on and threaten clubs with fines for any damage from playing on grounds and they do that.

That?s rank. Heavy machinery shouldn?t be anywhere near a waterlogged pitch.
3 volunteers with mowers and an hour could mow the pitch and prevent this sort of crap.
