2025 Zone League 1

Sorry I didn?t jump straight on forum after game champ. Some have lives to live before it?s keyboard warrior time.
2 nil up, 5-2 loss. 2nd loss in two months, wouldn?t call it worrying.

Uni played well, fit young crew. Cardiff have two big games against Croatia and suns coming up.
Cardiff did not receive half price pizzas last night

Just pointing out that you are usually very quick to jump on after a Cardiff victory.

Whenever you concede 5 goals at home on opening day it?s definitely a cause for a concern and Croatia & Suns to come is a bit of a worry.

However it is a long season. Plenty of ups, downs and pizzas to come.

Cardiff v Croatia (should be a very physical contest. Croatia)

Olympic v Warners Bay (draw)

Swansea v Azzuri (Swansea)

I think I only got 2/6 first round, so what do I know

Suns 3 - 4 Mayfield (Mayfield seem to have picked up some young ex NPL quality this season + Suns looks to be an aging team)

Kotara 2 - 0 Westlakes (Kotara looking similar to last year, will have a strong year)

Stockton 1 - 3 Uni (Impressive result for Uni round 1, have picked up good signings + a big squad)

Cardiff 1 - 4 Croatia (Croatia will be the team to beat this year, they were solid last week, can't see many teams beating them this year)

Olympic 2 - 1 Warners Bay (Surprised by Olympic's round 1 result, they will bounce back this week, WB had a poor pre season)

Swansea 5 - 0 Azzuri (Hearing Swansea signed well + long year for Azzuri)

From what I saw from the Croatia team last week this may be the greatest team ever assembled in zone league … guess I was right when I said Dudley ran to New Fm, oh well when Croatia are done demolishing every team in zone league they will put Dudley to the sword next year

I know there is a lot of s@$t written on this page but this comment is one of the dumbest I have read in a long long time. Dudley got promoted so how they ran to NEW FM is as stupid as it gets. Best ZPL team ever assembled? You must be Croatia?s PR officer to make this fairytale claim.

Agree with all the previous comments, wait to the end of the season for that type of call. Only puts pressure on Croatia, No point even bringing Dudley into the discussion.

My information was that Dudley didn't even want to go to NL1, Tried hard to get out of going up. I'm happy to be corrected if this isn't true.

Croatia have played 1 game in the top Zone League. It was certainly an impressive performance against the Suns. But Croatia, Like Suns will be teams that others will want that feather in the cap of theirs.

Cardiff will certainly give Croatia a good run, whether that can result in taking some points only time will tell.

You would think mayfield will give Suns a good run for their money also this week.

Not sure if Dudley wanted to go up or not, but to be fair they are holding their own in that comp, 1-0 loss to Toronto and win over singleton. Not sure what kind of depth they have but they?ve looked solid to start the year in that comp
