You obviously have not seen the emails clubs regularly get from council about not damaging grounds.
So your telling me the match couldn't have been moved or Bar TV couldn't have gone to another match instead? I pay my rego money each year that helps keep these amateurs in jobs, ridiculous.

Afraid your rego. has nought to do with BarTV.

I meant , Newcastle Football are the amateurs. Don't they run the Zone League competition? They have the ability to move games. They probably dictate what games Bar TV cover correct?

As per an email sent, Newcastle Football picks what games get the BarTV coverage, i would say the panel would be old mate from Merewether, Chris Brain and maybe the fella from Hunter Football and steph.

Surely the Merewether guy wouldn't have a say in it? Wouldn't that be a conflict of interest? I work for the Feds, that wouldn't go down well with them. Surely it's the same sort of stuff in a football competition which falls under nnsw and ffa

    Of course he would.

Clear favoritism by the association and bartv itself

Yes, there were a couple of players unavailable. But for us that happens every week, we have built a decent squad so even if 6 first graders were out we would still be confident of a result.

But the facts were there was rain at Myamblah last night and anyone that is familiar with the ground knows it doesn't take much to turn it into a mud pit.
Anyone familiar with the ground shouldn't have been extremely surprised then

Incorrect, Newcastle Football pays for BarTV to cover a game a round. Guess where Newcastle Football gets their money from?

Just to clarify, Not surprised by the ground conditions. Surprised by the overnight rain on Friday night, Hadn't rained a drop where I was. That was the surprise.

Croatia are just too hot to catch. The addition of Cowburn has essentially cemented the clubs place in NL1 next season. Will be interesting how they go about creating youth sides to be NPL eligible... also heard that they'll be playing out of Waratah near the Croat club next season? If true, it would help with youth recruitment with the lack of PYL clubs in the north-west Newcastle/Mayfield area, and could also entice youth players from Medowie/Stockton.

There is undoubtedly a clear top 6. Uni, Mayfield and Cardiff will be battling for the last two finals spots, which is going to be very unfortunate for the one that misses out they, all deserve a go at finals football.

I've tipped Azzurri to go down, they deserve it. I wouldn't be surprised if they BS relegation by pipping wins against Westlakes and Stockton, all three clubs just can't match it with the big guns.
I'm assuming you mean Wickham? I doubt Hamilton Hawks Rugby Club will be willing to give up their grounds to Newcastle Croatia during the winter.

Big day out for Merewether United yesterday. 9 Point day with 3 wins

    First grade
    Merewether 4 Greta 0
Greta were undefeated coming into the game, The loss brings Greta's lead back to 4 points. Greta certainly are a tough team and you certainly need to be prepared for a battle. A couple of late goals pushed the scoreline out.

    Reserves
    Merewether 4 Greta 0

    Conference
    Merewether 2 kahibah 1

Merewether United may be the underdog story of the season, may just go the whole way.

I would think that Greta and Kurri are the only 2 teams in the main race for promotion. It would take both of them , especially Greta to slip up for anyone else to catch them.

Zone League 3 is probably getting back to what it probably should look like in last couple of years. Plenty of good, solid sides but there certainly is no gun sides of the past like Argenton, Azzurri, Croatia, Crabs or Southern United that were way too good for most of the competition.

    First grade
    Medowie 3 Merewether 1

    Reserve grade
    Merewether 6 medowie 0

Medowie are the big improvers this year. Solid at the back with some new additions and quick up front. Could challenge come finals time, I guess that depends on how they fare with injuries as they probably don't have the depth of a few other teams.
