My source at Northern told me that they will use average points per game to determine the final ladder positions and no washouts from here on out will be replayed.

I've also said it before but the playoff finals series between NL1 and NPL is great for interest, the sooner this happens in Zone league the better. 1 up 1 down without a playoff is a great start, but can definitely get better.

Promotion/Relegation between NL1 and each Zone League was going to have the exact same playoff series. The zone clubs complained about losing a finals series and a chance to win a grand final so they just went with Premiers get promoted and wooden spooners get relegated.

And they had every right to complain. I have got nothing against the idea of a promotion relegation playoff but not at the expense of sacrificing a proper final series and grand final.

The fact a team not even from Newfm won that competitions grand final last season is an absolute joke. And dont even get me started on the fact they were awarded a trophy and medals for doing so.
