not sure if describing westlakes player, or mussy holding mid of the last couple of years

Everyone needs to get over the referees! Most are filling in, they allow us to play our games. One of Our opponents on the wkd grabbed our player by the throat (with 2 hands) for a good 5 seconds in front of the referee and got nothing. It's shit at the time but without referees we don't play! Not to mention why be a referee when you get zero respect from teams like this, only bad mouthing and whinging
it's a windup, pure joking
i have this epic novel to write about refs, which talks about both short-term (individual games, etc) issues as well as long-term (season as a whole, next season, next 10 years, etc) issues. i hold no anomisity on this foz, or at least don't attempt to, so if you're ever keen for a half-hour talk about how big an issue reffing really is in newcastle, come for a beer & a chat.

Haha loved it. Poor Old westlakes on the end of a NNSW referee conspiracy. Unfortuantly for them the referees have decided to take a stand against them this year and the results have put them dead last. God forbid the players put their hand up for them being in a relegation position. But im pretty sure i got told westlakes were a surety to be promoted by a few members on this forum

i've never said westlakes was the only team to have bad reffing, and don't believe that's the case. i have said that we had horrendous reffing very recently, though. i know the problem is widespread, and my issues with it aren't just with my local team.
i guess if outsider's views are the legit views of refs - maybe the refs should stop ramming down our throats the important laws of the game such as colour of sock tape, colour of skins, the game-stopping importance of manager/officials tags on sidelines, and start leading by example in showing players & spectators the important rules "we" are apparently not up to speed with, whilst getting fundamental laws of the games called correctly and fairly/evenly for both sides. #justsayin
Sorry to take everyone's attention away from the continued ref talk, but thought id do my tips for round 3.

Jesmond
Dead serious. Don't know him personally, just know of him due to his infamous lack of speed. In Newcastle football circles, he's often just referred to as "the slow guy" or "that really slow guy that plays for west lakes". Im sure you've heard of him.
And this is why Mr Round Balls is one the people's favourites
Westlakes played a good part of the game against Mussy with only 10 men which hasn't been mentioned. The sweeper took off on a "sprint", chasing one of our strikers and then simply vanished. He returned with 8 minutes to go wearing chaps, a cowboy hat and a fine moustache.
I spoke to a friend of mine, Doc, about the situation and he believes that if a human can move at their 100% pace, and not break the 26 seconds per 100 metres needed to be classed as "unbelievably slow", there is a small possibility that person will go back in time.
Just a thought.

2-0 Tenambit
First
1-2 Merewether.
Jesmond 5-2 in reggies and 4-0 in firsts at home to Medowie.
Reserve grade saw Medowie 1 up before Jesmond clicked into gear and put them to the sword really. Extremely frustrating how many chances we missed plus how many times we manage to get offside, need to work on that.
First grade was only 1-0 at the break but we went on with it in the second half scoring 3 more for a deserved win, with our keepers only real work being dealing with a few corners with he did easily.
Need to be honest and admit that Medowie only had 17 players for the day. I'm led to believe (happy to be corrected) they had pretty much all their first graders, however a number did have to play considerable minutes in reggies. Credit to their club and coach really, because days like that can become tiring, frustrating and that's when discipline can turn to poo and that certainly didn't happen. Well done lads.
Cheers to the 2 refs we got, did really well too. Big game next week at Westlakes who still may be the bench mark in our comp.
Mussy v CCB
Res 1-1
1sts 3-2
Not sure how reserves didnt win this, lacked the finishing touches which couldve put the game to bed before half time, hitting the post twice and another cleared off the line, but mussy fought hard in the 2nd half to grab an equaliser.
1st grade was an odd game, mussy went 1-0 up thru their quick striker, charlie played well and looked good in patches b4 a defensive mistake led to it being 2-0 right b4 halftime.
Charly jumped out of the blocks in the 2nd half, scoring in the 47th and 54th minute. Looked like they would go on to complete the comeback, but mussy came home strong, and their speedy striker completed his hat trick after scoring his third one-on-one of the day.
When I grow up, I want to be Yohan Cabaye.
Thanks to Cabaye#4 for a good wrap up. After the carry on from the Westlakes players from last week, especially their CB, I just figured this forum existed to make excuses for losses and blind bias. You sir, are a breath of fresh air!!!
