looking forward to going along to the games this evening and a decent crowd would be good for the league...
Hey swan man :-) I thought you would be hoping for a draw or buds win in this one to keep your boys withing striking distance as they are breathing nicely down the necks of the top two ?
That would be some achievement for Maitland to come to the buds and win both games ... Out of interest what do you base your predictions on feather boy ha ha
Looking forward to the contests myself. The crowd may have been larger but I think there are a couple of rescheduled NBN fixtures set down for tonight also which will probably impact.
Yes you're correct a draw in 1sts would be brilliant for the BelSWANS, I'm not sure though.
My predictions are based upon....... birds (Magpies) beats flowers (Rosebuds)....... not really....
There's not much between the two in 1st's, I just think Maitland are a little stronger and a degree more physical.
As for 23's just doing the percentages, although Buds 23's are quality I just have a "feeling in my feathers" that they overdue for a "plucking" and Maitland have the team to upset.

On a wet, cold night like tonight i think Adamstown will be loving that they are to have the home ground advantage.
Hmmm big question, wet games always tend to bring abit of unpredictable nature to the contest but seeing as these teams are already quite close if i was an Adamstown player the sense of familiarity with the field would be good.
You'd have to think the 1st grade game would go ahead regardless.
The games are off
That's laughable , hasn't rained since Friday and been sunny, a small shower today and they call it off,
****n hell, we would have the Valentine mutant Magpie swans in a colour of a rosebudBy saying "great coastal ground that they could use..... wet or dry!" you really are saying a sandy paddock with little to no facilities? Going to Belswnas is like going back in time 30 years. I understand you are a one eyed supporter who loves your club and I take my hat of to you for that but **** me enough is enough!
Adamstown games tonight are off.
hi there, recently i witnessed a game involvin maitland and thornton. The under 19's fixture was an intense match up, with lots of hype surrounding this. With the maitland under 19's losing one match this season against the redbacks, they looked pumped. With Maitlands Lanky Tall striker scoring a hat trick, set up a 8 - 0 win for the magpies. The lanky maitland striker was dominant against the spohr and hall defence. With The lanky strikers partner in crime playing an important role to help set up many goals. The thornton side had one major possitive to take out of the game. Jai thomson came off the bench and made a large impact. I believe jai will steal the starting role that ben gowdy currently holds. But i am all for the maitland side taking out the premiership, cheers soccerlover
belswans ground is terrrrrible, and thats coming from a jaffa, whose pitch struggles also. also what a bizarre post from soccerlover ^ lol
Soccerlover you make a great statement although I was not at this game I was at the Thornton vs maitland game when theses two teams first met and I do agree that Thompson is a key element to the 19s side some poor coaching decisions have cost vital points during the season and the 8 nill loss to magpies side drilled by a young coach who must be outstanding as his side has scored a cracking 22 goals in their last three games ,can hurt their goal difference as Belmont Swansea are hot on there tails. Thanks #manuntdarethebest
Any predictions on the under 19s comp ?
