Who do you mean ? I was judt meaning that in general there are many coaches in the NewFM that could easily coach in the state league and a few that already have experience of the state league.

In my opinion from watching Adamstown for the last few years and based on reports from within and outwith the buds both the 1st grade and 23s coach at Adamstown could easily handle the step up to state league and would most likely bring fresh ideas and I also believe the the Maitland coaching team along with Mr Paul at Belswans would also be a good addition to the state league and offer something

Then you have the Thornton coach who already has NBN experience .

I'm not sure many of the NEWFM Coaches would see it as a positive choice......

Adamstown & Maitland fighting out the premiership so I really can't see Chappie or Maitland's coach walking away from the chance of Promotion
Mr Paul as you say at Belswans is having a great run this season and with Matt playing there this season I couldn't see him leaving
Greg Smith at Westie is getting his young squad better each week and is now in 4th spot and while one of the more experienced and rated coaches in NEWFM why put himself through a relugation battle again this season when he did it last season?
With all repsect I just don't see Bails or McCalister stepping up to that level and MC does not really have a great history at NBN level either.
And Cessnock/Singleton........ you would need to be paying triple the money just to cover petrol expenses.

I am not saying any of the top four are not worthy or unable, I just don't think for them their current positions in the comp make the idea very tempting.

And I will wager a couple bucks that Thornton's coach won't be going back there after leaving 2 years ago

I really LIKE the posts that "keep the long balls short" puts on here. The comments are always seem valid and relevant...... unlike some "jokers" that just "pull my tail feathers".

So looks like tonights games will prob be off again..
i really think its poor how they call the games off from such little rain

  10. #630
If the game is called off then I think this could really work to Maitlands advantage as I have just had a look at the weekends fixture list and noticed that its Maitland v belswans so I would think they would gladly not have to play there two closest rivals in the space of a few days on heavy pitches

    Just my opinion of course

How do you know the games are off ? Bit early for that I would have thought ?

Pity as me and a few of the older generation buds were all planning a nice meal and then down to the ground for some more football after all the joy of the socceroos last night

At this stage the games at Adamstown Oval will proceed as scheduled. First Grade at 6.30pm and U/23's at 8.15pm. Any further rain will require a rethink. Happy to keep you all posted.

yeah i myself just got word that the game is still going ahead. was just taking into account what has happen the past couple of weeks.
i think playing tonight and sunday will have little to no effect as it still has 3 full solid days of recovering, Maitland also played saturday on the weekend

Unless we get further rain of biblical proportions tonight's matches at Adamstown Oval will proceed as scheduled

    Can anyone confirm this?
