Pffft, 'sif we know anything. It's not like without the fans, theres not a club and they would be out of a job.

    Oh wait.....

On another note, it may not be a bad thing that Tinkler offloads us, we get rid of Palmer (huzzah!) and potentially Middleby as well!

But are you prepared to trade one Palmer for possibly another (Clive may see this as another Tiatnic struggle he can win with FFA)??????

Some interesting general HAL responses posted on twitter.

DG: Coasties have target set of FIVE THOUSAND members FFA want to help them reach that.
DG: No expansion for the next few years (at least)
DDB: We are working towards having professional referees (does this mean FT whistle blowers? Whoo)
DG: Cup style competition in 2014 (believe it when it happens...)
DG: Working on a model to allow clubs to attract more sponsors (not sure what the Q was)

Everything else is CCM crap that I don't care about.

    Other stuff...

DDB: looking at possibility of playing more NYL games before HAL fixtures.

Hilariously, gypos are going to get a commemorative shirt put together when they reach FIVE THOUSAND members. Dreaming big.

One of the questions asked in the fan forum was "how can we attract fans from Newcastle and Sydney?!"

I got an email from them
I can oly assume they think buying an away supporters ticket once or tive a season means I want to be a member.

Why the **** would the FFA let Clive back in after the GCU debacle?

If anything, I would imagine the FFA would take us over for a season and try to offload us, ala WSW. Or try a community model that was being discussed a while ago.

Rather ironic Smurfs are doing this.

At the Socceroos game last week in Sydney what was noticeable outside the ground was the WSW tent and the WSW soccer field for the kids to have a kick.

Didn't see the Smurfs taking the opportunity as WSW were doing to promote themselves to the 80k of people who at the minimum have a passing interest in football

pretty sure a group walking near me as I walked past the WSW tent said "the Sydney FC one is probably behind this one, it'll be twice as big as this shitty effort". I think they're still looking for the Sydney FC tent

There was an SFC tent last week - just a standard 3 x 3 one, and you had to look twice !

I walked around 3/4 of the ground to get to my seat (went the wrong way) and still didn't see it. WSW was pretty easy to spot as you approached the stadium from the train station near the food stalls. Field for the kids was behind the goal that Kennedy didn't score at ( the Iraqi supporters end).

    Where were the Smurfs hiding?

Yep I walked from the station all the way around the right and didn't notice anything Sydney FC related apart from one or two hats randoms were wearing

Halfway between the foodstalls and the Acer Arena, they were hidden like drowned rats under one of those sail things...maybe they bailed after I saw them. The rain was getting harder then.
