He's loyal. Even through all the hard times and when Sydney offered to relieve us off him he stayed
Gary and Deans are very good at looking like suspects in the Maddie McCann abduction
(I still think this post is less despicable than the comments by the Victorian Treasurer last week re: Jill Meagher)
He's very observant.
When he sees something he likes, he looks.
Can admit when he is wrong, like when he brought that kid on against perth (for the life of me i can't remember his name) then realized that was the wrong call and hooked him 10 mins later.
Also with players. Can see he has made a mistake bringing someone in and will then admit he is wrong and never play them again, see Jorge Drovandi.

He has a good finals series record
7 played
4 won
1 drawn (went to penalties)
2 lost
He has already signalled his desire to run the Jets Youth academy when he relinquishes his Head Coaching position. He is good at thinking of the future, which most football managers suck at.
is good at identifying the quality of a player's engines
Can clean hard baked grime from your BBQ with his hair.
seemingly brings the fans together to fight for a common cause despite its impact on him. very admirable
Has already annointed his successor - Craig Deans.
Committed to maintaining Newcastle's long history of spectacular mediocrity
He is resolute and will persist with a certain tactic or player no matter how bad things look for however long it takes.
Resiliant in the face of constant and justified criticism.
He always knows exactly what is wrong with the team.
