What really grinded my gears was the fact people had no idea what was going on as you read one place that he had passed and another one saying it was a hoax.

Also when someone wrote on face "RIP Paul Walker" (or something along the lines of it) and my mrs says in the comments "so sad if true, but apparently it's not" than getting blasted for it. All she did was say "APPARENTLY", as in she has no idea as which one is correct because every news piece is different.

yeah, was reading the internetz as it unfolded. i can only guess the twitter generation has made everyone real cautious in reporting anything as gospel.

Hate to be the guy who brings the bad news but we are as a country quite racist. Living overseas for a year really opened my eyes on our backwards Australia actually is with regards to equality and social issues.

I'll back you on that one. The scary thing about the racism in this country is that a lot of people are really oblivious to it. Travel for a while and it becomes blindingly obvious.

Agree with the above, racism is so deeply seeded that a lot of people don't even realise they're being racist. Totally a "happens all the time so it's ok" type situation.

    Same as homophobia really.

Bogan families who cry all over Facebook and run to the press when they are done wrong - see today about the kid not invited to the Year 10 formal.

OK - mistakes get made, deal with it in the proper channels and get an apology.

Will be on ACA next ffs.

Can't really take the whinger seriously when he says he'd rather stay in the UK than go to "racist" Australia. Does he think racism doesn't exist in the UK?

Depending on your definition of racism it exists in all countries or exists in most countries, to varying degrees. There's plenty of bogan-equivalents in other countries
