The last decent cross the jets put in was by Topor-Stanley, I cant remember who against but he whipped in a beauty.

No, was a game. I remember it too, I think Brockie scored off it?

But in answer to why we need good wingers, just because the rest of the league doesn't have good wingers, doesn't mean we have to be the same!

    Good question.

Stoke (of old), WHU with AC playing?

Geez I reckon with AC and Downing in their team West Ham could be onto a winning combination there

Umm not knocking Bresciano but feel the play maker we need should have younger fitter legs. Bresciano would be a great signing if complimented with another playmaker though. No point for a club in our situation of mediocrity putting our faith all on the legs of a bloke who is not far from retirement and likely to break down. Can just see us signing this bloke and Rd 5 arrives and we are looking promising and then he breaks down and we are back to the mediocrity we are accustomed to as we have no other options.

He is definitely what we need! We have enough young, fit, fast blokes around. We need a play maker and bresc is one who would blitz the a-league!

And when he gets injured at his age then what??

Back to Caravella/Zads and their creativity??

We need more than just Bresciano and need another creative outlet in the middle of the park

ie We need a few signings in this area not just one

Can we just start with a new CEO. From there the smart decisions should start coming.

You can't just not sign someone because you think they might get injured. Any player is prone to injuries.

But I do agree one creative player is not enough. Look at Brisbane, victory, Adelaide etc all have more than one creative type or player capable of stepping in to do the job.

The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.

In short, at least we'll have one and then we can work on a getting another one. Brec and Mooy would be a good combo IMO as it's worked at WSW with Ono.

I am quite excellent at knowing which former Socceroos will do well in the A-League and which ones won't (see Emerton, Grella, etc.).

    Bresc would walk this league.

Couldn't agree more. If he indicated he wanted in, we would be mad to not take him due to age.

We need an experienced playmaker such as bresciano, finkler and we also need to find a understudy that can step in when needed. Someone like the highly rated stefan mauk from Melbourne heart.

Might as well dream on....SFC will want a marquee to replace ADP.

His first choice would be to go home to Melbourne and Heart/City will have cash to burn. Victory would want a piece of that action too.

Would just like to point out I said this (below) on only Tuesday:

Bresciano would be the best option, yet possibly least likely, for us.

He has an insanely healthy relationship with Melbourne Heart and I wouldn't even be surprised for him to play on a minimum contract for them.
    OK
