He is second choice actually, and played well in the cup competitions. Reina may or may not come back from Napoli, but we will find that out in a few months.
And being a Liverpool supporter, I have actually watched him play. He is good enough for the Championship, he just needs to play consistently which isnt going to happen at Liverpool unless Mignolet gets a long term injury and they dont bring in anyone else.

Seriously doubt lower end EPL teams are scouting blokes in his position for a gig. Would almost be akin to Jets signing someone like Jurman for a Stoke or Palace to sign Liverpool nobodies.

Bloke would be lucky to get a gig at a Championship club let alone a good one
Sunderland signed Arsenal's third choice keeper Vito Mannone last year.. That went pretty well for them. Our 2nd choice looks likely to be signed by a champions league team. Leicester need a new keeper if Kasper doesn't resign so i wouldn't be surprised if he ended up first choice at a lower team in England. He needs some consistent time playing to see how good he really is. I think if he doesn't make the grade at his next club he will come back home... He can be our second choice behind BK.

    Here's a defensive signing I wouldn't say no to....

    http://www.millwallfc.co.uk/news/art...r-1544490.aspx

Australian defender Lowry, 24, first joined Millwall on loan from Aston Villa in November 2011 before making a permanent switch the following January. He was a near ever-present in 2012/13, helping The Lions to the FA Cup Semi-Finals, and grabbed two goals in his 82 games for Millwall.

There was a top 10 list on Foxsports this week.

I'd take Lowry. Potential to be as big a hit as Spiranovic returning in his early 20's

Yeah Lowry is a good solid left back option especially if carney were in front of him as that would be a top left side if carney got fit

Here is an idea for a player I would love too see Jets at least make an attempt at getting as a marquee:
    http://www.goal.com/en-my/news/3896/...nd-aimar-exits

Pablo Aimar just got released from his club in Malaysia. It's a long shot and highly unlikely, and the Jets most likely aren't even going to be getting a new marquee to replace Heskey.

As a marquee, if I'm asking who? It's not a good sign.

Assuming you're not being sarcastic, my thoughts exactly. This dude is a legend, Valencia for 5 years, Benfica for 5 years, Argentinian National team between 99-09 and one of the most skillful players you will ever see

Yep get on wiki and YouTube Thomas.

I reckon he would age well as a footballer because of his wiryness and very intelligent play

Not knocking Aimar as a signing but the bloke will be as proved by Thomas a disaster of a marquee for promotional purposes.

Unless you intimately follow this game you have no idea about clubs like Valencia/Benfica and how good this bloke has been.

Sign the bloke none the less but the average Aussie will have NFI about him

My contact says we will only hit the minimum squad size. More shit signings like Jurman to come.

No-one knew Broich, Berisha and very few had heard of Ono.

Marquees can just as easily be used for promotion purposes by no one knowing who they are and then getting see what they can do.

I'd rather a "no-name" marquee who dominates the league than another big name who does **** all.
