Happy to get the 6 points today considering player numbers.

Our res dominated should of won by more , boys scored with 20 to go.

1st score was pretty indicative of the game. Mereweather scored in 1st 5 min to gives us a scare , but we always felt we would get the goals needed to see them off. Game sealed with 15 to go.

Credit to merewether they kept coming and always had a hint of danger everytime they went forward.

I think there's a few teams short on some players at the moment by the sound of it - we have had 5 first graders missing the last few games and three out since pretty much the start due to broken bones, possibly another injury after a hyper extension of the knee yesterday. They are all hopefully coming back from injury in time to cover the 3 guys going to the World Cup. Any other clubs got players heading over?

we would have used about 20 first grade starters too in answer to the previous posts

Games up at terrace were played in good spirits and plenty of chances were created by all teams. All the boys feeling it after playing on the huge field - great setup with the spacious sheds/room/verandah up there.

There weren't a huge amount of really clear cut chances in firsts with both defences pushing the attackers that bit wider or keeping shots to just outside the 18 most of the time. Both teams needing to improve on shooting.

Great result there Dreaded, did you get a few or did the phenom steal the limelight today?

I got one off the spot, Kaney earned it for me. Phenom got one and Kaney got a brace. He looked great today. Jimmy took a nice chance to chip the keeper and get himself on the board. We played 25 or so minutes with ten men. Both yellow cards were probably warranted, but he was a super card happy ref.

Stocko looked to be a good side though. Excellent on the set pieces and their number 5, in the back line (tall, strapping lad with an arm sleeve) didn't lose a header all day. Their number 8 always looked dangerous too.

They might benefit from getting on with the game a little and playing the whistle, and I honestly mean no disrespect. But the ref has made a call, he isn't gonna change it, regardless of what you say to him. I only say this because there were times today where we caught them on the break because a player was too busy arguing with the ref!!!!

Good result for Bero. Plattsy is a bloody good side. Getting 5 past them is impressive.

Should've been more. We were pretty wasteful at times. That massive fence behind the goal got a workout!!

    Hahahaha, gotta love that fence.

Your #7 has a really hard head. You guys play to your strengths which is pace up front. That penalty you scored.... Well I dunno. Everyone can doubt about it. I missed a sitter, just seemed like it wasn't our day. Pretty intimidating place to go

Ventured over to watch Plattsy game this arvo and even tho Bero played well they looked a lot better due to the poor performance of the home team, struggled to put 2 passes together and were constantly turning the ball over only for Bero to put them back under the pump, Plattsy defence worked tirelessly as usual and prob didn't deserve 5 goals against. Heads were down after 2nd goal and disharmony within the team. Was amusing to see a Bero res grader refereeing and their manager running a line, Plattsy res graders too interested in having a beer than helping out ref their own game

Personally I thought it was a pen. Kaney is an honest bloke and he showed me the mark across his shin, up above the shin pad. Either way I was happy to get on the score sheet. Lol. Speaking of sitters, how about that chip I attempted? The ball went closer to Aberdeen than the goal. Rubbish.

I love being called a strapping lad. Makes me weak at the knees.

We played shit today. Weren't interested. Always looked like we could score but still didn't deserve to get anything out of it

Haha one of your blokes in reserve grade would have been paying millions in fines for sitters if you guys had them. It was surprising that he actually managed to put one away hahahaha.

#25 wears a headband and literally missed an open goal from about 3 yards with the goalkeeper behind him was the pick of the bunch
