Wait... the guy deemed not good enough to be re-signed is back trialing with us?!

Sigh. Might as well get Caravan back.

Nick Ward was quality while he was here and I for one will welcome his return. Plays a number of positions and was class in the home game, can't remember the opposition, where Heskey pulled out in the warmup and played 10.

I would be happy if Nicky is signed as the winger and a number 6 is also signed on

However, the way Stubbins is talking, we aren't looking at a LB, so Carney or Goodwin at left back makes more sense. Unless of course Stubbins is going to retain Gallaway there.

I think we have enough "back up" players so I hope the players we are looking at are first team quality. The Nick Ward trialling doesn't fill me with great confidence.
Yeah I know griff probably more suited to central but unselfishly played wide right back end of last season and still managed to get into great scoring positions and scored a few. Maybe griff and montano swapping throughout the game

Seriously, when are we going to get another signing?
Its so frustrating waiting around with all of these promises of strikers and midfielders!

The season is three months away - things are good, damn good for a Jets pre-season. I think most clubs keep a spot or two open seeing there is alot of world player trade in July/August.

Remember how late in the piece Heskey and Shinji signed for instance two years ago.

You don't see a problem with this? Chaos has been the norm... this feels like a very Jets like off season. Tinkler really needs to up his game and sell the club so we have something going on.

Use the transfer fees from Taggz & Brillante, plus the freed up wages, to get Bresc as Australian Marquee
    OK

There are also rumours about Mikel Arteta leaving Arsenel for Fiorentina. Only problem is neither Arsenel, Arteta or his manager have spoken to anyone from Fiorentina.

So, not a lot of confidence here in anything about Fiorentina.

If Brilliante is moving on it might explain why there hasn't been any signing recently. Phil might want to sign a fullback with the loss of Brillante whereas previously he wasn't looking to fill a spot there. Noting the recent article that indicated Goodwin may play fullback this season would like to see Nick Ward signed as a RM or LM option.

Cannot imagine Brillante getting anywhere near the Fiorentina bench anytime soon. Good luck to the guy.

He's 21 - I don't imagine Fiorentina would invest in the guy if they don't have a development plan for him. Some intense training pre-season to see what he is capable of and then potentially a loan to a Serie B team or a full season in their reserves set up playing a handful of cup games.
