Agreed and maybe push 2nd leg to Sunday for an extra day recovery. Also ground recovery
These midweek games should just be cancelled so the teams can just concentrate on getting a training session in before straight knockout game on Saturday. There is no point delaying the fact - we will not be able to play 2moz
So much rain May aswell wash burbs ground out now and focus on the gf haha,
Pretty sure if Bero & Suns don't get on this weekend, then Bero will go through. Tough call on Suns after winning first leg at their own ground. Hopefully this rain eases up a bit and the games can be played!
It's football, not s***er!!
how we looking Jesmond and suburbs??
bit of sun out, are we at the grounds with large mirrors reflecting additional light and heat to affected areas...
Kotara have been notified that games are off - suprise suprise
Just received this from the boss man.
Afternoon,
League 1, 2 & 3 have commenced their Semi Final process, some have completed their first leg and others have not. Premier Division commences this weekend and they may meet the same obstacle with regard to the washout of venues. In addition to the email sent last week I now add the following:
League 1, 2, 3
If Leg 1 has not been completed then it is now declared cancelled; move onto Leg 2 this weekend, take all necessary steps to play the match (as noted below #2) if washed out you will have the opportunity to reset for mid-week to obtain as result – this match is now a ‘knockout’ match, winner is through to the Grand Final (#5). Extra Time for 1st Grade only (2 x 10 mins), then Shootout, other Grades to Shootout.
If you have completed Leg 1 and Leg 2 is washed out, the opportunity to reset next week is available; if this match is not played, Leg 1 result will be cancelled and the two teams finishing 1st & 2nd on the Ladder will progress to the GF.
Premier Division
Take note of the above direction and the information below.

1. Play all matches with safety a priority.
2. If you can move to another venue then do so; contact all clubs at your ground and contact Gail or myself to pass the change onto the State League Referees.
3. With the Referee involved decide if postponing 3rd & or Res Grade and only playing 1st Grade is viable.
4. Any matches washed out on the weekend will have an opportunity to be reset next week before Leg 2.
5. If these matches are not played by Leg 2; then the match is cancelled and Leg 2 becomes a ‘knockout’ match to reach the Grand Final. NO AWAY GOALS will be involved in the outcome.
6. If you ground has no chance of playing on the weekend, then contact Gail in the normal procedure for notifications of washouts.
7. Start your negotiations for resets immediately; the two 1st Grade Clubs will nominate a day for their match – in League Two/Three Res Grade will play on the same night; if League One, 1st will play on the determined night with 3rd & Res Grade either the night before or after.

For all those that feel hard done by, I think this is equally frustrating for all and it's interesting to note that the only NCC ground open is #2.
As for the discussion above re: Bero v Suns. No way! Yes Bero are minor premiers but they had the opportunity to host Suns and got beat on their own deck. Rain between now and next Friday and I'd say Suns would deserve to go through. Wont come to that though, confident there will be an opportunity for us all to play.
Just got email that GS v Jes has been moved to Sunday at Ulinga. Would have been nice to end the season or celebrate a g/f birth on Saturday night but well done Suburbs for being pro-active.
It is a tough call on the Suns, but that's life. It doesn't take away the joy we had in beating them on their own deck last week. Don't worry, it's just a little extra motivation (not that we needed any) to go out and finish the job on our own ground this weekend!
I was also just notified that our 3rd grade game (I'm assuming all fixtures 2 v 3) has been moved to Sunday @ Ulinga Park - Cardiff.
It's football, not s***er!!
so is it confirmed that 2v3 fixtures have all been moved to Ulinga on Sunday ??
