Thats one issue with Newy. Rumours can gather legs quickly.

It's not what I have heard that matters I just want FR with his wise wisdom to set me straight so i can clarify how good/bad my source is for future tips

With Ireland between the sticks, that should put Olympic up there to challenge for top spot.

I thought that was only a rumour. Will be interesting to see what happens with Jessie cook now.

I am hearing Matt Thompson is in Newcastle and looking for a club . I wonder who will pick him up as that would be a great signing for an NPL club and just further more promote our league with yet another professional (former) footballers in the league.

There must be a few ex A league players kicking about the clubs now

From my sources, Olympic are happy with the two keepers they have atm.

As for Thompson, well, last I heard he was going back over to Asia.

Yep fairly sure he would still be able to compete at higher level was just saying really that it would be a great signing if an NPL team pulled that off. I dont even know how factual this info is to be honest as its just something that got mentioned to me last week.

As for Danny Ireland situation , would you really blame Hamilton for grabbing him as he is a top class keeper without question.

On that topic who is everyone's top 3 keepesr in NPL .

danny ireland is outstanding easily the best keeper in the NPL

he was a couple of years ahead of me at school, in yr 12 in the annual teachers v student game, danny pulled of the greatest save i have ever seen live to a ralph maier volley (ex breaker) who was a pe teacher there

any club will be lucky to have him.

Scott Carter gets the job done also.
I'd be happy to have Carter, Ireland or Swancott.
Kelly was good back in his Charlestown Highfields City Azzurri Blues Wolves FC days. Haven't seen him for some time though...

Not to sure what to think of this?

I don't know if it's pointless spending or the next step forward and the Club being proactive.

I know that MB is very close with many at jaffas but fairly certain his playing days are well behind him and that he is concentrating on his coaching career and business activity.

Still what a signing that would be for jaffas if true might just tip me to predict them as favourites for the coming season..

So who are everyone's best strikers in NPL now .
