I feel like the club has had a completely different vibe this off season. The house seems completely in order. Seemingly very good signings, all the right things being said, even the social media team has been killing it like never before. It's been really refreshing and very un-Jets.

But this kit release is back to classic Jets imo. That white background for the sponsor is hideous. Some of the photos look terrible. Who did the sizing ffs they don't even fit properly (at least I hope that's the case and they aren't designed to be a super loose fit).

I get what you are saying but the way you framed it sounds like they would stop being fans if red and blue went. The same way Tinkler tried to frame "but they are red and blue too so you should support both". Colours of either club should be completely irrelevant.

personally it's nowhere near the early Reebok gold. it's probably not unlike last season's gold (kinda matt), with a subtly darker pattern through it (the image at https://viva10.myshopify.com/collections/newcastle-jets-21-22/products/newcastle-jets-authentic-home-jersey-gold-21-22 definitely overexaggerates the pattern) - I still think they need to revive the old strip gold colour, it stood out more and was a bit more gloss

I did some super lazy sleuthing and while Viva and Legend do look similar, they were started/are run by different people. A doctor from SA and his wife seem to run legend out of a factory ("cough" sweatshop) in Shanghai. Not exactly Nike or Puma.

Looks like they do our kits, Fiji Rugby League, and then amateur clubs and general apparel.


Not exactly confident in the quality in these kits considering Viva were a bigger company and they weren't exactly top drawer.

The Jets logo was, and still is, red and blue, long before Tinks bought the club. Three gold jets on red/blue background. Most of the gold jerseys I see are up on obesity hill. The stands are full of red/blue.

Thirdly, I am happy to go with any colour if a proper members survey reaches a 60% - 70% threshhold
Fourthly, the club needs a club charter and members charter to set certain rules regarding these matters, but don't hold your breath

Home - like it. Imo, we should be sticking with gold shirt navy shorts every year now. Change the design etc but keep that principle. It works and I like it.

Away- I don’t know if it’s the design, but I’d probably prefer to see a E and C white kit as the “white” variation.
Happy with a navy/royal blue (if that’s what we are doing) dark alternate kit. Maybe a bit more subtle gold or even more red.

Newcastle Jets Announce New Balance as Official Apparel Partner

The Newcastle Jets are proud to announce a new multi-year partnership with global sportswear leader New Balance, who will become the Club’s official apparel partner across all A-League and Academy teams, effective 1 July 2025.
