From my limited understanding, this does not appear to be happening at the levels required to make it profitable.

Also, as it stands all those existing Optus customers are only eligible for the first season without charge. Next season may be a different and more expensive story.

Will be interesting to see what happens in the long run
Apparently its 15 dollars a month for the epl stuff after the first season. At least thats what optus have told me when i signed up for the epl

Correct although it you are on one of their home phone/broadband bundles over $80p/m like I am, I have it for free while they hold the rights.

Fantastic that you can watch football from anywhere almost 24 hours a day - even find entertaining stuff on the club channels even though they are not my clubs. Bein is very smick in their coverage.

Have Optus mobiles and have the app running - so EPL data free, picture quality good and no dropouts even though I am in a poor 4G area.

On the other hand the viewing on the website through my old 2.4Mbps ADSL2 looks like something on Real Player in 2000. We have just had the NBN FTTP turned on though so will be considering Optus seriously now, especially as they have unlimited plans (my current ISP iiNet don't), Fetch box, EPL etc - could be worth a punt.

If you have both you basically have access (legally) to every important football game on the planet.

There's the other point raised by Jetmaster - internet download speeds.

This will be next to useless for anyone not on NBN, and even then no guarantee with the liberal pussy-version still relying on ancient effing copper.

I'm with Jeterpool and MFKS - BeinSports has more than enough footy for me.

Thing with me is I not watch enough EPL anyway to miss it too much. Will watch the occasional big clash say Man U Arsenal
    Chelsea v man City etc

But as I ain't a plastic fanboy of some foreign club i have no allegiance to any of them.

Now if I really want to watch a game I will just use a stream

Optus until they get more content wouldn't interest me

    Foxtel has what I want

    HAL

And some supplementary elite Football, gay porn and knitting shows

As for the EPL I am sure I will find the overnight highlights on the internet somewhere

I will go as far as saying if I wasn't a Foxtel subscriber the new additions of BeInSports would get me subscribed
