Example - On my Mountain Bike I have Pro Tharsis bars, Stem, and seat post. These parts are all made from T-800 Carbon fibre [like an F1 monocoque uses] and are also titanium reinforced. They are ridiculously light but incredibly strong as well.
The replacement product sharing the same name is made from aluminium [which makes it a ticking time bomb ready to break] and is double the weight.
Price wise the new versions are probably a quarter the price - but why not give them another name ffs.
And don't get me started about those BMW piles of shit wearing the Mini Cooper S badge. Holy crap - it's got more in common with a Suzuki Swift than it has a Austin / Morris Cooper S.
