This makes a lot of sense as we still have Brennan and Pav contracted, to then give Kitto a contract we would have 3 attackers on our books who are relatively young and inexperienced. Throw in Cooper as well who is still to cement a first XI spot and you can see the sense in this decision.
Amazing to think that in recent years we have not kept the likes of our best local kids in Bradbery, Remington and now Lundy but we persevere with Pav. Can't tell me he is a better footballer than those three!

If we had a game today

    GK - BK
    RB - Jackson
    CB - Mullen
    CB - Boogs
    LB - Cowbie
    CM - Ugar
    CM - Poljak
    RM - Pav
    LM - Brennan
    CAM - Cooper
    ST - Labi

For me, we need starting caliber players in 8 positions - GK, RB, LB, CM, RM, LM,
    ST/CAM and ST.

All 4 will hopefully be re-signed and possibly Cowbie into CM to make it 4 new starting guys. LB, another ST/CAM and 2 wide attackers.

Labi takes his rightful place as Super Sub, Kanta back up CM/CB and just need some cover across the backline.

Nice touch saying that we need a new Goal Keeper as BK isn't starting calibre.

A very subtle sledge there that will see this thread pick up speed

    Some fine work that is

BK was our Player of the Year a few seasons back so don't know what else he has to prove that he is capable at this level.
Labi too in his time at WSW proved he was more than just a "super sub". His versatility too means he can start out wide or at the point.
Having said that though, if a new owner/s come on board, they need to get a Marquee striker...end of!

...and he would have kept more than three clean sheets for the season, pisspoor effort that...

There's supposed to be a "major player announcement" being made tomorrow. I'm assuming it will be the re-signing of Birraz etc.
