Called a bloke who supports the scum this afternoon. Told him I was from the Novacastrian Imports and wanted to confirm the delivery address for the 1000 wooden spoons he ordered. Had him going for about 5 minutes before he twigged.

    Now that is sport!

    50 would have sufficed

Listening to the world game podcast and they talk about how the Derby is a dead rubber and that there wont be any passion or desire to win the games from each team let alone the players. Never before have i wanted to ring up people from a podcast and tell them to shut the **** up

That's really interesting. It's clear how out-of-touch they really are with teams outside of the big cities. They underestimate what a derby means to players and the fans.

Not that they will but if Fox and the Jets had a bit of mongrel about them they would play it up a little. Show old footage of nasty tackles and Grand finals. Build the hype a bit. Show the new fans some history so that there is some emotional attachment. It shits me Jets PR staff can't get that right. Fully understand the family atmosphere and that's where the money is but won't hurt to engage the parent too.

I'm listening to the Foxtel podcast now, and Simon Hill mentioned there isn't any hype about the league. He was referring to hyping some of the goals that have been scored this year, but it's symptomatic of the league promotion as a whole.

i think alot of the money that wouldve been used to promote the league is being spent on the jets

don't listen to the foxsports or world game podcasts if you want to hear them discuss the jets, mariners, or the phoenix and to a little extent perth

We don't rate so its not worth talking about us.

I wouldn't say the derby is dead but it definitely has lost its attraction to the fair-weather fan with both teams near or on the bottom off the ladder.

If we were both coming 1st & 2nd the media would be saying that its back alive.

They talk about it more but they'd still find away to talk about sydney and melbourne being better blah blah

Just need to stop whining and so something about it. Agree that the media bias to Syd/Mel is tedious but we can only change it by getting results.

Perth fans have long complained that they have had no coverage from the east - look at them now.

An Adelaide v Perth GF would please me no end.

nah, probably more "well Newcastle and mariners continue to defy the critics and are sitting atop the league. but tonight, we examine in depth why Sydney FC and Melbourne Victory are performing so badly..."

The derby died when Rooney and Vigs left. No one cares, especially not the players or club.

Sydney and Melbourne get full houses for theirs that's why they get talked about.

You wanna hear Jets hot takes? Talk into your phone then play it back later on. Music to your ears.

    Free Buses.
Hoff is a good omen in the F3 Derby.
Ugarkovic is 1 from 1 in F3 can he do it again.
Since the first F3, where are they now.
What winning the last F3 ment to us, lets do it again.

All of those have been released by Jets PR this week, admittedly they can do better but expecting more on the shoe string budget the back office is running on?

agree with all this. the jerks and sponsors (inspirations paint) have done more then enough with there resources. We have 1 bloke who runs the media compared too probably 10 blokes who do western Sydney/victory etc.

the other promoter Fox I think will (and rightly so) be promoting the premiership and finals potential games as after this week that is the product they need to promote.

At the end off the day its 8th v 10th and the promotion will reflect that.
