Please elaborate as to why this game should be more than "just another game"?
I don't recall either team having strong junior pathways that they've been drawing on for seasons, and thus have teams full of talented locals who would remember the Derbies of 10 years ago when the players all cared and played weekly for the Gold strip.
I also don't recall every other game during the season being of lesser importance. Was there some kind of memo or media announcement I missed that declared this a double points round?

It's as if you're saying there is a level of importance to Sundays game. Something on the line. Something for the players to play for. Something to avoid (the spoon - and get this when you read it Lowey.. Jones's CV looks a hell of a lot worse with a spoon on it as opposed to 9th..). Something for the fans to fangirl for. Something that holds a lot of emotional meaning to a large amount of people supporting either team. Something more than just another game.
