Just been thinking about these links to malaysia based players and wondering if there is coaching link we not seeing. A few Aussie coaches over there that may want to return home. Someone like Brad maloney or Mehmet durakovic maybe

Perhaps GvE 10 years ago, yes. But Kevin has done it more recently in the league while Gary has been working with the Matilda's and the Young Socceroos.
And not solely directed at you both, because my response above was for you, but to everyone - why wouldn't we want Muscat? At least I've thrown my reason out and pinned my flag to the mast.

I don't want Muscat cause I feel he is tactically inept. And I feel that got found out pretty quickly in Europe. He inherited a pretty handy squad at Victory and after that squad dispersed it didn't go well for him.
Other than being happy about getting another coaching gig, I doubt he will be happy about being in Newcastle. He will be more suited to the major cities.
Can't wait for the reactions when Manny Muscat is announced as our new coach.
There were some comments on broadcast that Deans has given then an ultimatum to make him head coach or get rid of him. Eg he doesn’t want to go back to assistant role.
Haven’t read this anywhere. Fair enough though.
Deans has to get the job, mighten be the best candidate on paper. But has earned the right to hold the position
Cheers gents...
What would Kenny bring to the team, other than a foul mouth to abuse the 4th official??
Jobs for mates 101. He went straight to a socceroos assistant position after Glory boned him in 2018.
Now it appears the same connections are gifting him an aleague coaching position.
He's already on the books for socceroos so it's just a reshuffle and perhaps a minor pay adjustment.
Kenny must have been next in line behind Milicic for an appointment.
I've changed my mind.
Deans In

^^^ Kenny Lowe also could just be a caretaker until clubs future is settled then he goes back to his socceroos appointment.
Deans costs them money, and complicates selling the club to new owners.
I'd like Deans to stay but Kenny Lowe isn't the end of the world either.
Pressers would be entertaining.
Imo, give Deans the gig now.
He’s getting some results. Knows the club inside out. Has done his time as an assistant. As PV4 alluded to earlier, if nothing else, we end the Deans chapter and move on. Blokes been on our books longer than anybody.
If he’s a success then great!!
