WTF? We don't score from situations like that!

Concede 2 in two minutes. Both avoidable

I feel Stanton has to take a lot of the brunt on this one.

His choice to not bring on subs till Wanderers we’re making their comeback, and to not bring on Piscopo who is pivotal in helping us transition from defence to offends was just silly.

Again I ask Natta be benched

    Quite unusual.
The Jets get in front, then completely stop playing football and start hoofing balls to the opposition, attracting immense pressure and eventually conceding through poor defending.

    Never seen before.

Piccolo surely had to come on, At least he has the ability to hold up the ball. I think in those situations we had to try and score, why sit on a lead against 10 men??

He had a shocker yesterday and got out coached by a bloke who for all his anger and emotion continued to maintain a vision for the game in its entirety.

IMO and purely based on my observations of Stanton he seems to be involved in the game in a manner like he is actually on the field playing every pass, throw in etc constantly directing play by play to his players. Sure i see other coaches doing similar at certain times but they also sit and take time to view the game as a whole and how its playing out and consult the big picture with assistants. I seldom see this analysis side of coaching from Stanton and i wonder if its this flaw that see's him miss things like missing the boat when we went a man up and other things during the season ie timing of subs. I genuinely believe just about every other coach in the League would have gone for the jugular yesterday and got Piscopo on at the first available opportunity after the first red.

Like i say just my observations of him on the sideline and just my worthless unproductive opinion.

Agree with you and Mark 380, he also fails to extract the full potential from his players. The squad is better than the results are saying, I've seen some great team goals but they are not frequent enough. We are in 10th place, I would be trying a full on attacking style, it's not far to the bottom of the table anyway

This is made even more egregious by how we famously throw away games, even against the exact same team we were playing against. Why sit on a lead, only a one goal lead at that.

Without midfield and defence, Full on attack is having us 3-0 every game, would leave us way to exposed and were already too exposed with this midfield and defence. Just need better game management more then anything

I would have a cunning plan, so that wouldn't happen

Exactly. Peeps be thinking if we go forward fast there isnt a defensive plan.

ffs we can do better than this.
We still have the old GVE cancer where we think we're playing footy if we keep possession in our def 3rd for 30 mins.
    2 mistakes we down 2-0
