Look I agree boycotting not the way to go. Will a simple chant be effective? Do we need a signed petition to FFA? Do we need to flood FFA with letters?

Signings need to be made and tinks has stated that may happen.
We need some positive intent shown by tinkler.
As I see it their are two parties responsible for our predicament

    FFA and Tinkler.

FFA gave us Tinkler didn't do their due diligence etc
FFA screwed Tinkler with the licence fee creating bad blood with the bloke from early on.
FFA forced Tinkler reluctantly to honour his commitment
FFA sat around with their heads up their arse whilst Tinks financial empire crumbled
FFA sat around with their head up their arse whilst Tinks gave up the Knights
FFA continues to sit around whilst he cuts the guts out of our club.

That being said inspite of their injustices to us they are our ****ing saviour. They just need to be forced to pull their heads out of their arse and do it

Tinkler for the obvious reasons that don't need listing.

Both parties to my way of thinking need the protest directed squarely at them.

Stubbins is after all just a shit coach coaching a basketcase of a club. He is the least of our problems and will be gone as soon as we have an owner who expects a performance level above wooden spoon spot

It looks like the FFA want the Jets out of the competition. Why else would they not try and save them ?

I support the Club, the badge on the front of the shirt is bigger than any Owner/CEO/Coach/Player. I'll continue to show up to show the support my Club deserve and I won't turn my back and desert the club because I disagree with the Owner.

I'll also more than happily call you plastic for deserting the Vlub in tough times.

Baartz never did. The CEO was part of the committee along with the marketing manager and membership coordinator.

The article says that both these players are fielding offers from other clubs.........and

I would be disappointed if our good players weren't attracting interest elsewhere.

Whether the club keeps them or not is another story altogether but just reporting that SFC are sniffing is nothing new.

There are plenty of things to be outraged by supporting the Jets, but an article outlining the loss of players in the transfer window when we are running next to last is not one of them.

This doesn't go far enough. Clear out as much of the deadwood as possible and do it now. That's not to say Flores is deadwood but he is a Visa player with questionable fitness and isn't being used. It's a good outcome for both club and player.

But if we let Hoole, Neville and Birraz go to other A-League clubs when they are under contract it would be ridiculous

If you can point out where I said I was deserting the club.

I also support the club, the badge and those that give their all for it. What I don't support is an owner who does what he can to bring the Club to its knees. I don't support a manager who has little idea of what to do in his job. I don't support a managment that do little to improve the running of the club. I can support the players who give it all.

You know what I don't have to justify the way I support the club, nor protest their failings to you or anyone else. If you want to call me plastic go right ahead, go and sit there and complain about tinkler, about middleby, about stubbins, cheer when we have no players left because they have all been driven off or sold. What then will you do?

imo, some kind of protest/declaration of unhappiness at the current situation is needed, but i don't think a boycott of the games will help. Overseas, the fans have a lot of bargaining power over decisions. I seem to recall Cardiff City fans holding banners and chants to display their unhappiness towards their owner, allegedly sacking their manager, who they believed was being unfairly judged after he got them promoted. Now the owner is still there, but, they certainly got the publicity for it.

I don't really know how getting banners into the game goes or if they need to be checked. But i feel some sort of visual protest/message to FFA, Tinks, The whole nation is needed and unless it's something that gets the attention of the media and in turn, embarrasses the FFA so much they need to step in.

    Not so much.

Boycotting something doesn't mean deserting it.

I guess you're in charge though so call me plastic

protests are only valuable if everyone is of unanimous agreement, which i believe people aren't.

Can i just point out that most of this anger seems to be based on an article, written by the Herald of course, listing all of our valuable assets and saying they are going to Sydney. I don't believe any of them are going to Sydney at this stage and i think most sensible people will feel the same way.
At the end of the year when everyone is off contract and the Jets are re-negotiating then i'll believe it. The entire squad is basically playing for their futures in the A league as it is, either with us or if they want to move on they will have to show that they deserve a chance elsewhere.

Protest at the Asian Cup isn't the way to get them on our side, i think it will just turn the FFA away from us even further. They are currently putting pressure on Tinks to sort out the running of the club. Maybe now that he is chairman he can start to enjoy being involved with us and he might offer up what money he has left to fix some problems we face behind the scenes. As stated by many, we don't need a new team of players to improve our position on the ladder but we do need a lot of work done to become a well run club again.

That said, if he doesn't start to improve the situation by the end of the season i say we chase him out of town with Pitchforks..

Wasn't the Cardiff managers sacking over some real racist shit?
Anyway fans protested, owner didn't listen, was ultimately proved right yeah?
Better example would be their owner changing colours from blue to red, fans blew up deluxe, two years later owner wants to change back.
    Power to the peeple.
    Good for shirt sales tho.

Anyway moral of the story is to trust Tinks. He's got this.

Agree.....but nowhere in the article said that this was or would happen. Its transfer window time, every club is out there releasing players and putting the feelers out to others to see if they are interested. This article merely printed the few players from our team that are of interest to other teams.

The facts are that the playing roster is pretty poor by any standard. We are well off the pace in nearly every game we have played and a dramatic overhaul is needed. Wether Tinkler actually follows through on his recent promises and actually spends some money on replacements is another story. But I would much rather make the changes now for the rest of the season than do this all over again in 4-5 months time. With the squad we have/had I am in no doubt we are headed for the wooden spoon. Even with a squad overhaul I have no real confidence in Stubbins but I am also not a fan of turning over coaches every 6 months.

Flores had to go. A great guy for sure with real flare and talent, but, imo the pace of the game is beyond him to play in the No 10 role he was recruited for. The only way he could be included in the game day squad was as a second striker in behind a Montano or Neuman. I would have like to see big Phil give that a go but its not to be. The Jets need roster and visa spots to use now and when an amicable split presents itself you got to take it.

To be honest there is barely 1 player in this squad i would be upset to let go, maybe Hoole and Neville, thats it.

Exactly right and I agree with you. If we disrupt the biggest thing to happen to football in this country they'll let us suffer.

FFA have a vested interest in this, don't forget. They have a big market here and Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne probably aren't ready to support a 2nd/3rd team. They need 10 teams for the TV deal and all teams to be competitive when that deal is renewed next year. So if they think Tinkler isn't the long term answer, they'll pull the plug once they have enough of a case for his removal. We just hope by then it isn't too late.
