Sounds like we're going back to the old ways - good engines 1st, footballing skill 2nd
So, if the FFA take over, given that the 4 who were dismissed have not agreed, will the FFA reinstate them? Will the FFA withdraw Carney's "3 strikes" notice? Imagine the relationship they will have with Stubbins!!
If the FFA take over, either Stubbins or the famous 5 will have to go. Any odds on offer?
The famous 5 would more than likely be back though that is not guaranteed. The payout may take some time and they may want to take it and GTFO
As for Stubbins quite frankly he will be hated at such a severe level no one will be able to justify employing him in the role.
The players want him out and the fans will want him out.
What makes it even more certain is he threw his coaches and players under the bus to save his own arse.
No one can respect a man who does that and it is definitely not a thing I wish to ever see from my Novocastrians etc
The bloke has NFI about being Newy
Ohh Phillip Stubbins you are the scourge of my life
Ohh Phillip Stubbins you screwed the Griff
Ohh Phillip Stubbins you have NO IDEA
Here's how I'd expect it to go down if the FFA took over:
1. All 5 players will be re-instated to the team (if they wish). Avoids contract disputes for the FFA.
2. Stubbins to be sacked. Relationship with players and staff at the club untenable, and the destabilising effect he's having on the club is obvious.
3. New signings (players and staff) to be kept. Very hard for the FFA to get out of these contracts if they take over.
4. New coach to be appointed quickly given coaching vacuum. Will either be someone from the previous coaching staff (Zane, or *shudder* Bridges), or one of the FFA's boys.
Club has officially announced we've signed Travis Cooper for the remainder of the 14/15 season.
OK
Say that sacking players will make way for local youth
Sign other clubs off shoots.
Go jetties
Stubbins will have to go if FFA take over. His position is untenable, he is too closely tied to Tinks
