The last time when brisbane played us here, I dont think anyone gave a shit that game!! It was painful to watch
Absolutely. I just think up until now we reek of a team that no amount of changes or formation will help. When you are constantly second to the ball the players are not playing for each other and have raised the white flag. Don't get me wrong, Stubbins is accountable for this but so are the players.

Until they start putting in nothing will change. Some players were putting in but that doesn't make a team.

In some respects alot of what Tinkler/Stubbins has said is right in that the club needed a shake up and a broom put through it. Whether they got the right players and their methods in doing so is what is wrong.

Something that completely annoys me is the way David Carney has gotten a free ride in all of this.

Senior Player, gets a career lifeline from the Jets and a 2 year contract that puts him in the top paid players in the club. And how does he respond as a senior player and example to the younger players?

Openly admits to negotiating with SFC and Arnold within 6 months whilst trying to leverage another deal to China and admits to 2 breaches of his contract with the third up for debate.

This is the sort of senior player guys like Hoole look to. It's disgusting behaviour at a time when the Jets were going backwards and he clearly was just collecting his pay cheque.

    SFC scum.

this. completely agree. Madaschi and Kew have been woeful all season in my opinion and each match I was expecting one or both to be benched.

when you're getting hammered week in week out, giving another guy a shot in a key position is only going to affect goal difference, not points. may as well give it a shot.

Don't disagree with that. We needed mobility.

    Great post.

Agree the players need a good look at themselves also. They have let themselves and the fans down dramatically this season with their efforts not being up to scratch

Only problem is at this point in time we can't exactly throw them under the bus as well like Tinkler and Stubbins and actually have to support them in the hope they will actually come good.

Lets say BK was captain instead, is he standing up for newy or disrespectful?
I believe the entire squad have let their shafted teammates down point blank by not sticking up for them as soon as Tinkler started sacking them. They stand strong and he sacks them all and the farce that is our owner/manager comes to a head straight away when the FFA have to step in as Tinkler has no players at all for tonights game.

    That though wasn't done.

I also believe the lot of them should have been honest to Phil when the 3 said they will only play for the fans. There are a few cowards in there who have not stood up

As for these 11 blokes I will support them regardless of who takes the field. I just ain't cheering hard for these new players who have crossed the picket line until one of them punches Hutcho in the nuts scores a hatty or proves themselves to be Newy etc

Is it true Bridges set upon Carney because he more or less "pushed" his mate Hooley to SFC?

+1. Carney is no loss as far as I'm concerned. Same could be said for Madaschi and Jaliens on form. But the principle is what think most people have a problem with

Would not have been hard to bench the blokes. Organise transfers out. Let them see their contracts out and rid the club for ever.

The way they are and have been treated is a disgrace and goes against everything that is Newy. Stubbins and Tinkler have NFI on that front and the arrogance of the pair to try and justify the way they have done things defies even more belief and they will get the fury directed back at them tonight for their low act.

If they were such a problem before why weren't they shipped out as soon as the transfer window opened. Reality is it is a head explosion reaction from tinkler and Stubbins to the Coup led by Griff and the 7-0 flogging and is not part of a plan going forward.

That's where it is a lie

    Sorry, yeh meant Chapman.

Both my cousins played against him in his younger days down in Sydney and they were telling me he played in the midfield when they came up against him.

He could still arguably play centre mid IMO. Much like Spira.

I remember in NBN playing against Taylor Regan and he was always a midfielder or forward, very attack-minded and quite pacey, usually put at right wing when I was against him. In the early days of him playing Jerks Youth I found it quite odd he'd been converted to CB, but nowadays I see him suitable to no other position
    OK
