Maitland vs Magic
19s magic 4-2
22s maitland 2-1

Magic didn't look too good especially considering I counted a few 22s blokes playing for maitland and we were full strength. Maitland led 1-0 for most of the game. Was hoping to see Matt Thompson play but only saw him in the stands. Anyone know why he wasn't playing?
I thought that would be obvious,defenders & a keeper I'd suspect!

What do you mean you suspect! Your original statement was, I know azzurri were short were short today. So if you know they were short name who they were missing. From reports I received daniel bird was the only player missing and your team was played off the park
i agree magic were not that good 1st half but they dominated maitland the entire 2nd half. ben kelly saved maitland to deny at least a 5 . 1 win to magic. personally magic need to go with the same formation they played with in the 2nd half. 3 up front with pace to burn, berlin came on 2nd half and turned the momemtum with his pace and crosses and when him ,kale bradbury & dino faj were on together they pressed and shutdown really well which lead to there 2 goals by kale & faj .
by the way i heard maitland were missing only 2 players joel woods & matt thompson

Has Daniel Bird played in any of the trials Tonester? You were talking up big things from him now that he was playing in a more central role.
Played first 3 inc.FFA Cup has scored 6 goals & 4 assists.Missed last 2 weeks due to an ankle injury,hopefully he'll play some part this weekend.

Can you actually forfeit a trial game ? Or would it have been called off due to some players being away and others injured. You make it sound like they forfeited a competition game
Olympic are almost always strong in the 19's so my money would be on that they had players unavailable for reasons unknown to us.
