CCB beat Maitland 3/2,think the Maitland for semis bandwagon might lose a few supporters!

Got to see 2nd half of Charlestown and Maitland. C'town scored the winner right at the end. They were threatening for a while during the last twenty or so. Magic were pretty good in the last game. Jaffas were awful and apart from a few half chances never really threatened. And I think Jesmond upset Mayfield in the 1st game judging by the scoreboard.

How bad was the ground after 2mm of rain.

It did look terrible compared to normal. I know there were junior NPL games played there yesterday but no excuse. Looked great for Asian Cup. Not sure what happened.

Wow. Bit of an upset for the Rams. Not doing bad after knocking Toronto out last round.

7 games of football in the wet this weekend, rained both days... well done to the Magic Committee for allowing it to go ahead and not cancelling early in the morning.

Completely disagree with this.. They seem to be much more trouble than what they are worth, and from what I've seen at Weston, Troy is already having some difficulties with a few team mates. Also was quite impressed with Charlestown against Maitland, they battled well and seem to have a close bunch of boys all working together as always. Can see them possibly sneaking into the semi's.

No excuse, I think you need to go back home and pull your cock again again.
the only ground that would not get chewed up after all the rain and 7 games of football is the new speerspont facilty.

would love to see Hearfield and Jamie Burns play a season together. People seem to find it easy, not to like them.

I have to agree. The boys battled well yesterday & dominated the last 20 when Maitland ran out of legs. Rene was strong & Goody made an impact as soon as he came on.
