Herald today is reporting Mullen is close to signing a 2yr deal. Really happy with this.
boogard and mullen 2 blokes in there prime, probably haven't had that since ljubo and topor were together, since than we have been mixing 20 year olds with 35 year olds, etc.
plus youve got reegz who i think in all of the mess has stood up the most.
A back 4 of Neville/Mullen/Boogs/Lee is pretty strong. Pity we dont have any quality in front of the defence

Can anyone remember when Kanta has actually had a good game in the past 2 seasons (or more)? If he wasnt contracted for next season I'd be happy if we got rid of him. I reckon he's struggle to get a contact anywhere else as well.

I reckon if you run a stat kanta will be up there with uncompleted passes and mistimed tackles leading to free-kicks.
I got Jpool to run the stats for me a couple of weeks ago for the Jetstream podcast.
Kanta had the worst passing percentage compared to Pepper and Cooper (think he had 77% as opposed to mid to high 80s?).
Not sure about those free kicks but it's worth noting that Taylor Regan has given away at least two free kicks that have been scored from this year.

Probably because kanta tries to pass it forward rather than back like the rest of them. Agree his passing not the strongest but I think you'll find it's because he takes risks that others don't, personally I like it as its a break from the normal pass it back to the keeper or back two and then lumped forward. Against Adelaide we wouldn't of had a forward pass along the ground in the first half had it not been for kanta.
As for mistimed tackles he is usually making up for one of his teammates ineptitude.
I don't rate Ozil much either.
The bloke could be a world beater the talent is there but he is such a lazy **** and turns in 1 good game out of 15
