Heard a rumour that the puddle is back in town... Potential big signing?

Probably train with us for a chunk of the off season but head off before the season starts.

Im not overly excited about the Crouch move but we could do worse! though i'm confident its about as likely a move as the jets being purchased by Roman Abramovich.

The jets should focus on bringing in genuinely talented decently aged players like Marinković or Janko but i do see value in some experience. This would be my hit list if i was the big rich marn who likes horses and beers with tha lads:
    (not in order)

    -Mark Bresciano 35 (Currently Al-Gharafa)
    -Yasuhito Endō 35 (currently Gamba)
    - Kim Kallstrom 32 (FC Spartak Moscow)
    - Luca Toni 37 (Hellas Verona)

Obviously we need to focus on younger players for the future but in these players you could build an era from their ageing shoulders.

    Other fun ideas:

    -Freddy Adu 26 (Kuopion Palloseura)
    -Philippe Mexes
    -Rod Fanni 33 (OM)
    -Tomáš Ujfaluši (37)
    -Milan Baroš (33)
    -Djibril Cissé (33)
    -Anthony Réveillère (35)
    -Ricardo Carvalho
    -Florent Malouda (34)
    -Yossi Benayoun (34)
    -Joseph Yobo 34
    -Park Chu-young (29)

What do you think tink, sign me up?
    Your suggetions?
I doubt we could lure any of the players on that list. We'd be better off signing someone whos a smaller name but is quality like a Marinkovic

If you forget the massacring of the squad early this year and the addition of Gallagher and Welsh, Stubbins recruits have been mostly good. Mullen and Boogaard next year is great, Leaky G is great and if we get Alivodic, that's a great move as well. If he can get one recruit of that calibre and then Tinkler is legit about getting two marquee players in, I don't see why we can't do what you are saying plus what Opinionated is as well. Old blokes like some of them will love coin for 4 half days of training, 27 games in a piss easy league and that's without the bonus of it being a holiday to Australia.

So your saying we should let Muppet make the signings and then bone him when we have the 23 for next year and then get a real coach in??

    Best idea ever

Yup, most the blokes on said list are going to be twiddling thumbs next season and would probably love sinking beers at a local pup after a afternoon swim! Getting them for the head and name is what we need and there is some young quality in the squad, above mentioned serbian newly signed korean and this mullen boogard combo would be quality. who knows might even be 4 or 5 wins a season good! that'd be something! imagine that glorious bald head of bresc sliding balls into a langky old goal scoring machine toni or even cisse! the mouth it waters.

Guarantee you Bresciano would be one of the worst signings in the HAL ever. His legs are gone and his legacy will be obliterated by playing in the HAL.

The players are too young and too fast for him these days.

I was pretty certain it was 10 on Friday night when Bodi told me then

Next day after he has a few ciders it is down to 8?

Why not make it next season if he don't win the first one he is gone

the new pitch wouldn't suit him, you'd be able to see his match presence draining away with each minute of game time.

Agree, Bresciano probably should have come back at least 2 years ago. By next season he will be 35 and even slower and probably only be able to last 60 minutes.

Having some depth in defense never hurt anyone

Agree, but can we afford essentially 4 starting central defenders in the team with squad size limitations?
